Capital Area YMCA Senior Valentine’s Day Celebration
The Capital Area YMCA hosted a FREE Senior Valentine’s Day celebration with a special twist honoring Black History Month! Seniors were encouraged to bring their hearts and dress in recognition of this important occasion.
From 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, our seniors enjoyed delicious food, lively music, and heartwarming companionship. Even our youngest visitors joined in, embracing the culture and making meaningful connections with their new senior friends. They ensured that every guest felt seen and appreciated.

In her new role as CVO, Tracy Thompson will:
• Provide strategic leadership and guidance to our existing programs and our desire to implement new programs.
• Work closely with the board of directors and senior management to enhance our community impact.
• Work closely with the board and senior leadership to advance our buildings and grounds.

Summer is the time of year when children make new memories, have positive development experiences and build lifelong skills and friendships.
At the Capital Area YMCA Summer Day Camps, your child will experience and build confidence through planned activities suited to their age. Children experience a sense of achievement through opportunities in the outdoors and are welcomed to a physically and emotionally safe and stimulating environment whether in a Y facility or outdoors.
Day campers are able to explore creativity, teamwork and leadership in a wide range of active programs that influence lifelong healthy living. They have the opportunity to learn and have fun in an environment where they develop an appreciation of learning, all while having fun and under the direction of trained and certified staff.
