Whitaker described the simulator as “realistic” as his car was spun out of control and he had to figure out how to regain control.

The students had a valuable opportunity to learn hands on about driving and safety.

Paul Steinruck, SADD advisor, explained that it took a few months to put this together with the leadership of seniors Ryder Bray and Regan Carlson. “They decided to bring the community in. The key to success is those people who all offered free services.”

Students were given a Safety Carnival “passport” which were stamped at each of the eight stations. This “passport” allowed them students to have free cotton candy, snow cones and popcorn. Completed passports could be put into a box for a drawing for free tickets to Kalahari Waterpark.
