It is my pursuit and constant goal to find a concept or approach that is able to not only hold its own amongst the vast amount of other projects and art in the world, but also reach and relate to as many people as possible. Art for me is an experience. It is a comfort and a challenge. It is an oxymoron in that in its simplicity it is complex and innovative. It is my deepest desire to present and create work that can evoke childlike joy within the viewer and yet also provide an emotional comfort and ease for the viewers that may be in a place of unrest and struggle. Being able to create pieces that can be understood and related to as many people of a variety of backgrounds is a challenge that I wholeheartedly pursue and attempt to bring into my designs and work.

personality A hopeless romantic with an overly outgoing, bold, and eccentric attitude towards life and people around him. He’s not afraid to be blunt and over the top with everything that he does! Having the unique ability to transform into a Cheshire cat, Théo uses this to his advantage in order to approach people that might otherwise try to avoid his overbearing presence. age 25 years old height 6’3”

personality A positive upbeat forest nymph that can’t help loving life and anyone he meets. Although his overly positive attitude and compassionate nature can make him naive at times and a little oblivious, his intentions are always pure and heartfelt. He loves to spend his days caring for the forest he lives in and saying hello to the travelers that go through his forest! age 23 years old height 6’

Although her composure is calm and reassuring, her clumsy nature keeps her internally frantic and constantly struggling to maintain her cool. Besides fashion her other passions lie with her ability to bake wonderful cakes but oddly nothing else. With all her positive traits there is always some strange quirk to counterbalance it. age 25 years old height 5’7�

In this project the challenge I designed for myself was to make a ten second animation using one of my original characters. While using the chosen character ThĂŠo I have successfully used Adobe Flash CS6 to animate him for ten seconds with thirty frames per second and utilizing skills such as squash and stretch within the cells to make his dramatic movements as fluid and consistent as possible.

For this section I have displayed various ideas of character designs in order to showcase the various different ways in which I can conceive said characters beyond simply humanoid ones. These concepts are shown all at once so that one can compare in not only design but also in how they have been made with the differing mediums of colored pencils and photoshop CS6 and CC.

Thank you to my friends and family for supporting me and to all of my teachers like Courtney Mayer that have been pushing me and guiding me to create a wide variety of works of art.
