Wearealsowrappingupourfinaleditstoourannualpublicationandlookingforwardtothenew2025 versionthatwillbehittingtheshelvesinJanuary-the“ExploreCanby”guidewillnotonlybeprintedwith copiesatouroffices,buttheywillbeavailableatareakiosksinWaitPark,LegacyParkandatthe ClackamasCountyEventCentertoo.TheEndoftheOregonTrailCenteralsohasaspaceforour publication,anditcanalwaysbefoundonlinewiththepageturnereditionforviewersworldwide!

Wewerehappytoreceivenewsfromourpartnersat theU.S.ChamberofCommerce,OSCCandOBIthat asofDecember4,2024,afederalcourthaltedtheimplementationoftheCorporateTransparency Act’sbeneficialownershipreportingrequirements.Thiswillremainineffectuntiltheconclusionof legalproceedings.Asofthisupdate,businessesarenotrequiredtocomplywiththereporting requirementsforBOIregistration! Thisisgreatnews,especiallyforsmallerbusinessowners!

Career & Technical Education Scholarships

Are you looking for a scholarship to help you level-up your career skills and salary in a year or less?

The Business Resource Center of South Clackamas County has partnered with Clackamas Community College (CCC) and is offering qualified students scholarships per quarter to cover the cost for allowable CCC Career & Technical Education programming for the Spring, Summer, and Fall 2024. This program will run through December 31, 2024, or until all funds have been allocated.

These scholarship awards are available to students residing in the following zip codes* and are listed in the CCC registration system: Gladstone (97027), Oregon City (97045), Beavercreek (97004), Canby (97013), Mollala (97038), Mulino (97042), Estacada (97023), Eagle Creek (97022), and Colton (97017) *This is the service area of the Business Resource Center of South Clackamas County.

Let’s get started! First, you must register at CCC for their Career Pathway Program. This will count toward a CCC Career Pathway Certificate to help you further your education. Complete the scholarship form for the Worker Re:Training Program One of the BRC staff will reach out to you via email and confirm you have been accepted and will provide you with final details about that quarter's scholarship
