WELCOME Welcome Overview On behalf of the whole CampusOne team, thank you for joining us at your (temporary) home away from home. We are excited to welcome you and be part of your academic journey.

Move-in can be an exciting and stressful experience. In collaboration with the University of Toronto, our intent is to make the day as enjoyable and easy as possible. In order to ensure an efficient move-in process, this Move-in Guide will provide details for your preparation to arrive and your check-in process.

In response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, CampusOne has taken many steps to ensure continued operation of our residence. Our intent is to provide and maintain a clean and secure building, and effectively provide a near contactless move-in experience. In order to achieve this, we ask for your assistance with adhering to the following guidelines:    

Please read this whole overview for all details of your move in.

Please wear a mask while in all public areas.

Please practice physical distancing.

Prior to your arrival, should you have any COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, please contact you current DON immediately.

We have done a great deal of planning for move-in and we are excited to welcome you! In consideration of COVID-19, our approach this year is as follows:  Minimizing Risk of Contamination – CampusOne recognizes the importance of reducing the spread of COVID-19. The health of all residents and staff is always our top priority. We hope that all residents recognize the important preventative measures taken and ask for your cooperation.  Efficiency and a near Contactless Move-In - The Move-In process needs to be as efficient as possible, with little-to-no physical contact and with an orderly set of procedures in place. You will be asked to complete and confirm your entire move in requirements prior to arriving and moving in.  Communication – We are here to answer your questions and provide as much information as we can. Public Transportation 506 Carlton Streetcar Westbound stops 510 Spadina Streetcar North and Southbound stops at the intersection of Spadina and College Queen’s Park subway station less than a kilometer east of University and College

CONTACT-LESS Contact-less Move-In Day Requirements* For a near contact-less move-in, prior to arrival, all incoming residents must have: 1) U of T move-in confirmation. All your details with respect to your housing with the university must be completed and confirmed. You should have a confirmation email prior to arrival.

2) You must have completed your CampusOne Online Move In Form.

This form includes the COVID -19 Personal Responsibility Acknowledgement (PRA) 3) You will have a confirmed move-in Date and Time reserved through our Move-In Reservation Date and Time Booking Form.

NOTE: All three (3) items above must be completed before you can move-in.

If any of the three items are incomplete, you will need to complete them before room keys are released to you.

If you satisfy the above items, you will be provided your welcome envelope and Key Packs at check-in.

*All items of the Contact-Less Move In must be completed PRIOR to your arrival. **Following your move in, you must complete the Unit Condition Form and Key Acknowledgement within 24 hours.

ROOM ASSIGNMENTS Roommate Matching & Room Assignments The University of Toronto has completed your room assignment and roommate matching.

Any questions regarding your roommate or room assignments please contact new.orsl@utoronto.ca.

Pack Smart and Communicate with your Roommates Talk to your roommate before you move-in about common items you can share. For example, you don’t want to end up with 4 bath mats! See the “What To Bring” section for some suggestions on what to pack.

Gather the necessities only!

Please Do NOT bring a moving truck or trailer attached to your vehicle. Due to the limited space for unloading vehicles, we cannot accommodate large moving trucks or trailers in the unloading area.

Remember, your room is already furnished!

MOVE-IN TIME & PROCESS Reserving Your Move-In Time Move-in time will be reserved in your name - just like a plane ticket!  Move in dates will be assigned by the University of Toronto  You will select your date and time using a first come first serviced selection process  Once you select an available time, your move-in confirmation will be sent via email.  You will not be permitted to move in earlier or later than your time.

Elevators cannot be reserved and tenants should expect longer than normal wait times during move-in.

Please note that as a COVID-19 precaution, only 3 people can be in an elevator at one time.

Move-In Process Residents must to provide proof of an official ID OR University ID Card.

Signs of a temperature?

As a part of the CampusOne move-in procedure, we ask that all residents complete a UCheck selfassessment.

UCheck is “a self-assessment web portal that allows faculty members, librarians, staff, and students to generate a COVID-19 risk status by completing a quick and thorough self-assessment that is tailored to U of T. This status will help inform individuals whether they are at risk of spreading the virus and will allow the University to better support our workforce and student population.” Please complete this PRIOR to moving in on the day of your arrival.

MOVE-IN DAY STEPS TO CHECK-IN Due to the number of residents moving in during a short period, it is VERY important that these steps are followed. If you have any questions, please let us know, we are happy to assist you and guide you in the right direction.

Arrival by Car/Taxi/Ride Share *All items of the Contact-Less Move In must be completed.

Know your booked arrival time & please arrive on time to move in. To unload your transportation CampusOne has a large loading driveway that you can pull into to safely unload your items. Once you have unloaded proceed to the main lobby off of College Street. No parking will be allowed in this area.

In the Main Lobby we will have a welcome desk with staff to direct you. Residents will be required to identify themselves using government issued or UofT ID. On arrival, on the main level lobby, You will be asked to provide your UCHECK Green Screen assuring your COVID-19 risk status.

Once you have provided the Green Screen Pass, you will be directed to the second floor. A reception desk will be located in the cafeteria area where you will be provided with keys and your Welcome Packet.

We will direct you to make your way to the elevators and up to your unit with your luggage.

***If you are arriving by car and require parking, please note that CampusOne does not have any temporary or permanent parking available. The loading dock will be available for quick unloading of your car only. Should you require parking, you will need to find an area off-site to park.

Move Out We ask that all move outs be completed by 12 noon on January 3rd, 2021

MOVE-IN DAY STEPS TO CHECK-IN Arrival by foot or from a local transport hub If you arriving by foot or from a local transport hub. We ask that you enter our main entrance where we will welcome you. *All items of the Contact-Less Move In must be completed

Proceed to the main entrance at 253 College Street. In the Main Lobby, we will have a welcome desk with staff to direct you. Residents will be required to identify themselves using government issued or UofT ID. Once you have passed the temperature check and the screening questions you will be directed to the second floor. A reception desk will be located in the cafeteria area where you will be provided with keys and your Welcome Packet.

WHAT TO PACK Remember your unit is fully furnished with: Study desk/chair, Full-sized bed, Under-bed storage, Armoire, Roller Blinds, Nightstand.

We will also provide bed sheets (2), blanket/comforter, shower curtain and a bath mat for each bathroom.

**We ask that those moving in for a short period during the Winter Break do not bring decorations or items that need to be affixed to the walls/doors**

Residence Life and Quick Links About the Residence Life Our goal is to provide the highest level of student service to our residents while providing a residential environment conducive to academic and personal success. The foundation of this service is to provide functional, comfortable living accommodations where students may rest, socialize and study. As a University of Toronto Lease resident you will have both CampusOne Community Assistants (CA’s) and University of Toronto DON’s to support your experience.

Please note, that due to COVID-19, all building programs will be done virtually until it is safe to resume in-person activities. Be sure to follow us on social media for event details and access to our live event streams!

U of T Café Winter-Break Meal Plan University of Toronto Cafeteria Hours of Operations starting December 22.

The U of T Food Services team has arranged for a Winter Break meal plan to accommodate residents who will be at CampusOne over the holiday break.

This will provide residents 3 pre-boxed meals a day, during your stay. There will be the pre-selected three menu options available to choose from for the Winter Meal Plan; a Traditional Plan, Plant Based/Vegan Plan or an Allergy-Friendly Plan.

There will NOT be an option to purchase meals or items separately from the cafeteria during this time period.

From dinner on December 22nd until breakfast on January 3rd, the operating hours for the cafeteria will be as follows for boxed meal pick up:

@CampusOne: Breakfast - 8:00 am – 10:30 am Lunch - 11:00 am – 1:30 pm Dinner - 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm Please note there will be no seating at the dining hall.

Additionally there will be no access to the dining halls between meal periods.
