Trefiak Family
We wish to extend the warmest welcome to our friends, neighbors, and fellow cattlemen to join us for our 29th annual bull sale at the farm. Without a doubt there is much to be grateful for in what started as a year where mother nature had shown us no signs of backing down from the massive and widespread drought. We were fortunate to have timely rains for relief, and think often of those who did not.
Raising cattle on the prairies has always been about perseverance and those that earn even a portion of the livelihoods from this endeavor are easily the hardest working people in society. They are the backbone of their communities, the pillar of their extended families, and some of the most creative and multi-talented people on the planet.
When it comes to the meat business, we believe that Canadian Beef producers have an incredible story to tell. The nutrition that beef offers the consumer and their families, the versatility of a cows diet to use waste feed that isn’t grade apropriate for humans, the amount of carbon captured in our grasslands, and the other environmental benefits of grazing; it is one of the best food stories in the world.
We believe the long-term value of our customers product will rise substantially. It is encouraging to see beef market strengthening in the short term. Year-end interest in feeder cattle resulted in annual highs being set for many classes.
At Agribition this year we had spoken with several Australian producers. They are seeing unprecedented prices for their commercial stock. This is of course following a 4 year drought that saw herds shrink drastically but those that persevered are now being rewarded with the best returns of their careers. Weaned steer calves are bringing $3,200CA and cull cows are at $4,100CA. Many analysts believe that when we see the drought break in the Southern Canadian prairies and throughout the cattle producing states in the US there will be a significant restocking take place that will see values climb to levels we have never seen before. Perseverance is an action that requires discipline, belief and a long-term vision.
On Feb 11th we will be offering a set of cattle that we hope garner your respect. They are real cattle; they are not pampered and have been raised through a drought. They are a testament to our females that they indeed are able to go out to work and raise a calf in tough conditions. Our breeding goals have been at the core of this operation for a couple of decades and are pretty simple. Make the cows so they can do it on their own, are sound, consistently raise a quality calf, and do it efficiently. The bulls hopefully strike you as the kind that are going to cover cows well, add some middle and muscle shape, improve foot quality in your replacements and add some pounds to the calves. If you can evaluate them in person, we absolutely encourage you to do so as we believe the quality of the animals as well as the foot structure across the entire offering is excellent. If you are unable to get here, do not hesitate to call. We will be as honest and forthright in sharing our evaluation of each animal as we would be if we were buying for ourselves. We offer a sight unseen guarantee should you work with one of us to help select an animal for your operation’s needs.
Thank you for your interest in our program and please let us know how we can be of assistance in being a trusted source of genetics for your herd.
CALVING EASE
We have spent a lot of years selecting for calving ease, and selecting for genetics that allow for calving ease without sacrificing performance. Many customers use our bulls on their first calvers. When we started the ‘Back to the Basics’ Bull Sale we made a system to help you when choosing your next heifer bull. When we grade the bulls, we are fairly conservative. Some of our customers with larger framed cattle successfully ‘level up’ as they get to know our program. Mick has always said, he won’t sell a bull he wouldn’t calve out himself. The system is based on the following...
BW in pounds
Consistency of sire’s BW
Consistency of dam’s BW
Consistency of calving ease of both sire & dam
Reccomended for cows only Reccomended for cows or larger framed heifers Reccomended for heifers
Always keep in mind 50% of your calf’s BW relates back to his dam.
VOLUME DISCOUNTS
CATTLE REFERRAL PROGRAM
80% of our customers are repeat customers. We believe that there is no higher compliment than a customer referral. If you let us know that you have referred someone to our program, and they make a purchase we will give a 5% referral payment on their first year purchases. Referral names must be provided before the sale. Referral renumeration will be provided early spring after the lots are settled.
The mjt team
They are not staff, they are family. We know there is no way we could do this without them. We have been blessed the past few years with amazing help on both the cattle and crop aspects of our operation, as well as our ‘crew’ that comes together for shows and the Bull Sale.
Pierre & Ilette coetzer
Pierre and Ilette immigrated to Canada from South Africa 2 years ago. Their journey here has been one of courage and determination and we see that extend to their efforts here every day. Ilette is a terrific stockperson with a great eye that she is putting to use here with photography as well as training horses and dogs. Aside from being Kurts right-hand man through seeding and fall, Pierre has become the resident handy-man and has built many miles of fence, added many lifts of windbreak boards, welded panels, fixed vehicles and pretty well figures just about anything out that comes his way. He has a true appreciation of the livestock, both cattle and horse, as is evident in his dedication to their needs. We are so fortunate to have them here. On sale day, please introduce yourselves to a wonderful couple that have become an integral part of our operation.
Matthew, Ryan & Casey trefiak
Matthew is finishing up his last year of Animal Sciences at University of Saskatchewan. Even through his 4 year degree, he has remained very involved in our operation. His memory for genetics and remembering cattle he has seen leads to many late night talks about breeding decisions. We are excited to see what the next stage of life has in store for him. His ‘biggerlittle brother’ Ryan, is in Grade 9. He has a passion for all things with an engine, and is quickly becoming his Dads right hand man in the shop. We are very fortunate Darryl Atkinson has been spending some time out here as well and Ryan is learning some small engines from him. Casey, at 11, keeps us on our toes. He has a love for all animals, big or small, and a knack for picking out the good ones. His female projects have become some of the ranches top, providing us with a herdsire in the Angus, as well as a donor cow in the Hereford. Together, the boys are a great compliment to each other and our operation.

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
On years like this when feed is expensive, more than ever we recognize the importance of knowing there is a positive return for every dollar spent. At MJT we make every effort to ensure that there is value in your bull buying dollar, be it through our bull development program which ensures the most longevity possible, or our consistent emphasis on sensible birth weights to ensure live calves, minimal labour and high breed back percentages.
Our cattle are raised with the basics in mind with a primary focus on the needs of the commercial cattleman. Basics are what have made the Hereford and Angus breeds attractive for generations. We feel our commitment to this should help you, the rancher, produce predictable and profitable cattle using MJT genetics. We feel that having kept the basics of the cattle business at the forefront of our program is what has built both our herd and reputation. We won’t compromise our principals to chase trends or for short term gain in our own pockets. We believe the most economically important traits for the cow/calf producer are still all about the fundamentals... fertility, longevity, structure, soundness and fleshing ability.
MJT isn’t in this for the short haul. We have been in the “Bull Business” for four generations and this is our 29th sale at home. The philosophy has evolved over the years and we feel that the cattle are continuing to improve and are now more consistent than ever. We believe good cattle can sell themselves and we try to offer a good selection of bulls that are affordable to the needs and budget of every rancher. We run the cow herd and the bulls like a commercial outfit, testing the doability, winter hardiness, fertility, udder quality and longevity under real world conditions. We know our cows can wean a respectable calf
crop under almost any conditions. We strive for low input management, and our cow herd has proven it can graze nearly year round. Usually the mature Spring calving cow herd is fed mechanically for only a few weeks at calving.
MJT bulls are developed gently with their futures in mind. We expect that the bull you buy looks better on sale day than in the photo in the catalog and that he will look better the day we deliver him than the day you bought him. We just see this as normal development and will not overfeed to get them fat for the sale. We want you to be able to see what each animal has to offer under his hide, so you can pick the best fit for your cow herd. Gradual development in large pastures and big pen sizes ensures mobility, athleticism, and skeletal strength. All bulls are coming Two Year Olds; bulls that can cover more ground, breed more cows and maintain their stature better than a yearling bull.
We consciously make low use of AI breeding. Selecting a new herd bull is an intense process. We make many miles and believe that the homework on the dam, the related offspring and the actual bull himself are critical. As we investigate and analyze each new breeding piece that we add we also find ourselves more and more looking back at our own yearling pen and cowherd to move our program forward. For 29 years we have selected for consistent birthweights, and focused on soundness and foot structure. We truly believe the females are the pillars of a herd, and our main focus is always building better females. Moving our main group to late spring calving has pushed us even further in our focus on udder quality.
“WE DON’T RAISE SHOW CATTLE, WE SHOW CATTLE WE RAISE.”
So why not just AI? When we buy a live bull and walk him with our cows we get to see all the other traits that don’t show up on a photo or a stat sheet. This allows us to be the first to know if any problems arise and allows us to cull accordingly. We hear much concern with foot and leg structure in today’s cattle. As far as we can tell, the surest way to verify long term structure and breeding soundness is to walk our dams and sires and be very critical of anything that might develop. As a result, 0% of MJT sale bulls have had their feet trimmed. On sale day the pens will be nicely bedded but we always leave some open ground so that you can assess our emphasis on foot quality for yourself.
We don’t raise show cattle, we show cattle we raise. We have often debated about the merits of showing cattle. We worry that there are times in the industry where it becomes tempting to compromise on the fundamentals in favor of competition. However, there are also many benefits it affords. First and foremost, it helps develop our kids. The learning and opportunities that our industry provides agricultural youth in the show environment is second to none. The relationships that the kids make will last far longer than any ribbons they win. We have discovered that the enthusiasm of the younger
generations can take you further than you ever thought possible. Secondly, for our own development. When we get to the shows, it’s a community unlike any other….graced with so many competitive yet thoughtful, caring, strong, fun and hardworking people. The exchange of ideas about what works and what doesn’t can’t help but make everyone involved a better stockman. Thirdly, it allows us a great opportunity to assess multiple genetics in an efficient manner. Kurt and Mick spend a lot of time through the barns looking for both positive and negative patterns in progeny, to assist us with our own genetic selection. Last, but not least, the cattle we show are cattle from our program and getting them in show condition allows us to demonstrate the results our customers can expect from our genetics when fed on a higher plane of nutrition. It reinforces our confidence that our genetics have enough muscle, depth of body and quality to remain relevent in today’s cattle industry.
We hear from many customers, that show cattle don’t work for them. We have made a commitment to showcase the genetics we raise for our commercial buyers, and will not compromise on our fundamentals. MJT cattle are sold with 100% guarantee and we strive to be #1 on service. We know sometimes things go wrong with bulls and if you have trouble we want to be the first to know.

THE CHAROLAIS HERD NEW AT MJT
I
n a very rancher kind of mid-life crisis way, on the year of ‘Official Retirement’ according to government guidelines, Mick decided that having white cows on the place and expanding the herd was the next step we needed to take a closer look at. Sometimes in life a good thing just kind of falls together and in this case that is exactly what happened. What started as a chat about the strengths of the Charolais breed and from helping our great friends and neighbors Allan and Jackie Chesterman with their Charolais influenced commercial herd evolved into a discussion whether we should be raising them here at MJT. Ultimately, it was discussed and agreed on by the entire team, and what a decision it has turned out to be! Shortly after the bull sale in 2021 we started looking around and learned that Brent and Tyler Fisher would be open to us to looking at the herd and what we saw was impressive. This was a set of cows that fit perfectly with our philosophy on management, and we quickly came to an agreement that saw us start our new venture
with 50 cows and calves at side. The bulls in this year’s sale were bred by Brent and Tyler and were born on their operation at Irma. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the bulls on offer are a very high-quality set. Good footed, good temperament, big, stout and correct bulls that fit with what our vision of the Charolais breed is in terms of added growth and carcass size. Our plan is to copy the Hereford and Angus development programs where we will offer April/May born long yearling bulls that are summered on grass to build extra bone density and skeletal strength and be capable of reliably breeding more cows which ultimately should provide better bull buying value. You will notice that the bulls are easy to handle, we don’t ever want to hear about someone’s loved one being hurt by a bull and certainly not one of ours so some extra time has been spent to put a nice handle on their temperaments. We are also excited to continue our relationship with the Fischers in inviting them to offer a great group of yearlings to improve the selection of Char bulls on offer and look forward to building from a humble beginning of 25 lots to something that eventually services a growing market for the benefits that the Char cross cattle bring at the sale barns.
This bull here is out of a really solid female. He’s got the muscle and red meat we like to see and some impressive length of spine. Combine that with a bigger frame and he’s a guaranteed pound maker
This stout made bull goes back to the renowned Sparrows Braxton and Circle Cee Bluesky. His sire was lot 1 in the Steppler Farms 2019 Bull Sale. He’s one that has impressed us all the way from a calf with his big rib and hind 1/4. The amount of power he brings to the table while maintaining a smooth look is something we really admire, plus he’s out of one of our matriarchs.
This bull is out of a first calver who’s really nice and has done an exceptional job to raise this thick unit of a bull. Out of a home raised bull from Fischer’s that goes back to Ledger. Unfortunately Tyler lost his sire before learning that the lab needed additional hair to process his DNA, thus the reason he is not registered. There’s a lot of potential for this young bull. He has a heap of muscle and bone and a strong top with some extra spring of rib.
44J is a well-balanced option that carries his depth from front to back. His muscle expression and the angles to his skeleton set this bull up for a good run as a herd bull.
This here is another bull that crosses the Kay-R Velocity and HTA Velocity offspring for an exceptional package. This guy is a nice frame size, thick made, and really well balanced. One of the first things you’ll notice is how attractive he is in his front end and explosive he is in the muscle expression of his hindquarters.
This powerhouse was only 86 lbs at birth, out of a solid cow. You wouldn’t guess this low birthweight to look at him, this is a meat machine with a lot of thickness and depth too him. Calve them out easy and wean them off big with this guy. This bull crosses the Tank 7E herd sire with a solid daughter of the great Ledger bull. 56J is a nice sized breeding tool with a lot of hip and muscle from front to back. One thing that we think is exceptional about this bull is his foot and leg structure all the way into the top of his shoulder and neck. A solid individual you aren’t going to want to cross out in the catalogue.
Fischer Charolais is very pleased to be a part of the Back to the Basics Bull Sale. Thank you to the Trefiak’s for their confidence in selecting 50 cows from us to begin their path into the Charolais breed.
Our farm is located just east of Irma, and Tyler’s family has just recently added the sixth Fischer generation to the Irma community. We are an average size grain farm, and a cow/calf backgrounding operation, along with a small herd of Purebred cows. This year we are excited to have our first group of embryo calves for sale, as we strive to produce quality bulls. We look forward to bringing a quality offering to the sale in the years to come.
Our bulls in this sale will be scrotal measured and have a current weight available near sale time. They are guaranteed to pass their semen test by April 1, or the buyer will be refunded his deposit or select a replacement bull on their choice. We will keep the bulls on feed until April 15, at no cost to the buyer, and provide delivery.
This is an AI bull out of a first calver and LT Ledger, a Renown bull known for his calving ease and performance. Turnaround is a low birthweight bull with a small head, smooth shoulders but lots of muscle. This bull would work well on young cows
was crowned the “Hereford of the World” Champion in
A bull that is surprisingly capable of so much calving ease with 85 to 90lbs birth weights and extra power and performance. You will note that his offspring are quick to gain and have additional fleshing ability that we love as an influence in the cow herd and the bull pen. We have some highly productive and excellent uddered daughters that we think will only add to the story of Rocky’s legendary career.
Everyone here knows “Hanson” as our current leading Sr. Hereford sire who we purchased from Sherri Hanson in South Dakota. He is one of the cleanest footed Hereford bulls we have seen and he passes it on to his sons and daughters, they are all near perfect “at the ground” which is extremely important to us around here. You will note a consistency in the look of his offspring with most having great pigment and bare necked. The first daughters in production look terrific and weaned some heavy calves last fall and you can just tell they will be sticking around here for a long time.
Endure is probably one of the most widely used sires around the globe and for good reason. They are attractive cattle with a highly consistent “stamp” to his progeny that have added muscle and growth without adding excessive frame. He comes from the very successful NJW program that consistently breeds functional cattle with a highly maternal influence. You will like the extra pounds in your steers and love the replacement daughters.
Franchise is a bull that is proven as a calving ease specialist that also offers great udder quality with an outcross pedigree. Most interestingly he comes from 8 generations of dams that have produced 8 or more progeny in their productive career which indicates he is bred to add longevity and a potency of maternal traits that will keep daughters in herd that are both nice to look at and long lived.
704J is a bull that goes back to a herd sire many of our returning customers will remember. This bull’s dam comes from the HMS operation and is a really strong producer. 704J is a smaller framed, stout, thick topped bull that is expressive in his muscling. Strong maternal backing on a muscle producing bull.
This bull goes back to a home raised bull that caught a lot of traction in his day. We dug back into the semen tank and this bull shows exactly why we did it. This boy is a bigger framed breeding piece with an extra rib of spine length and big strong hip out of Ryan’s 4H heifer. He really carries his muscling into his lower third and is deep from front to back with great leg structure. Strong option here.
709J is an exceptionally soggy and long bodied bull out of the well-known Endure bull and our 105C donor cow who is a no-miss powerhouse in her own right with a great udder phenotype. This bull is well pigmented, dark red, and well muscled. This is real deal herd bull material that is guaranteed to catch your eye.
of one of
bred donor females. We used a full sib of this
excited
see the calves as Belle Air was the talk of Denver when
won there and is backed by a phenomenal cow family. This bull here is long
and a bit bigger framed but packs a punch with the muscle he carries. He’s got a great foot and bone too. Really strong opportunity here. This bull goes back to one of a pair of flush sisters. We bred these two sisters to some newer AI sires as we were looking for some heifer bull sires, and this guy is one of the products. A real calving ease option with a good amount of hip and look, a solid heifer bull option.
is a stout made and thick topped son of our “Hanson” bull from Hanson Polled Herefords in South Dakota. He’s got a real solid foot and good amount of muscle to him. This bull is one that is going to keep coming on all the way until sale day, you’ll want to come see him. This bulls dam is out of a cow we sold in our dispersal and bought back awhile ago. She’s the mother of Casey’s great Marigold cow, and this R117 cross has been one we liked too. 729J is one of few horned bulls in the sale this year but he’s a big-ribbed bull with a whole lot of bone and performance in him. You’ll love the muscle and hip on this
bull here is out of a strong female we purchased from Matt Lohner not that long ago, he’s a first calvers calf and a calving ease solution. Not to mention he takes our Rocky bull’s genetics and puts them into the horned breed. 743J is extra thick with a lot of rib and muscle shape to him. He’s got a lot of presence and style too that makes sure he’ll stand out in the pen.
is a bull that goes back to the great Nellie flush sisters from Blair’s and shows just how solid these cows are when it comes to
bulls dam is the maternal sister to lot 709J and shows just how consistent this cow line is when it comes to producing the good ones. 749J is a good pigmented, nicely sized breeding option. He’s thick made with a good shoulder and lots of muscle and bone out of a strong mama cow.
How far is one willing to go looking for something unique to add to the herd? It turns out, to the other end of the earth.
We have made many miles looking for animals that ‘check the boxes’ to add value to our program for our customers. We have strict criteria, and don’t always find what we are looking for. New genetics must originate from a generationally maternal focused herd, with cattle that have to work for a living. In addition to being attractive, they must be built right, move well, and offer an outcross to what we can access at home.
In late 2018, Las Anitas was offering a ‘Pick of the Herd Flush’ in the International Designer Genes online sale. In researching their program, they were having successes both in and out of the ring, and their females had a lot to offer. The only catch, just a short 27 hour trip to tour cows!
Uruguay is a country with only 3 million people, and 12 million head of cattle. Beef is their primary industry. Located in Durazno, Uruguay, Las Anitas is a family Hereford Seedstock operation that is currently operated by two brothers, Fernando and Pepe Alfonso. In addition to a commercial Hereford operation and successful genetics company (Urugen), they raise and sell 100 seedstock Hereford bulls in their own sale each year.
We toured Uruguay for 12 days, a welcome addition to the business at hand of selecting our breeding choices from Las Anitas. We were able to align our travel dates with the World Angus Forum which provided the opportunity to visit some incredible Angus ranches and make some wonderful new friends. The hospitality we were shown every direction we went was First Class. After the Angus tour, Fernando hosted us not only at their own establishment, but generously
spent 3 extra days touring us to many other respected Hereford breeders in Uruguay. We are very appreciative of the time he and his family took to help ensure our experience was the best it could be.
When we toured Cabaña Las Anitas, it was clear that we had made the right choice. We found the cattle to be sound, have great muscle expression, built and marked right, have remarkable hair coats, and most importantly, the females in the purebred program were exceptional. We struggled to select ‘the pick’ of the females, and the only logical solution was to add additional flushes to our import plan. 3 years later are we ever glad that we did. In addition to this years offering, we have some additional outcrosses in the yearling pens that show excellent potential. We feel that they offer a valuable breeding tool to those looking to add value to their replacement females.
Right here is an extremely rare genetic opportunity. We’ve been working closely with Cabanas Las Anitas in Uruguay to source some of the strongest outcross genetics for our Hereford program. This here is a product of that partnership. These flush mates are full siblings to the Uruguayan National Champion El Padre. Like his full sibling 717J is a high power, heavy muscled bull with a lot of length of spine, out of a powerhouse female with a nice youthful udder who has won several awards in South America.
This is a heavily muscled, moderate framed bull with a whole lot of top in him. This bull is a slightly smaller frame than his flush mate but no less powerful and well pigmented. Extremely unique outcross genetic opportunity here, if you’d like to see some of the sisters and Uruguayan embryos we have here at the ranch just let us know and we will be glad to show you how much quality there are in these genetic gems.
This bull here is a combination of outcross Uruguayan genetics, and a great bull from the States. We think extremely highly of 724J. He has the pigmentation, power, depth, width over top and at his base, as well as overall balance and style that we really strive for. When we talk about looking for maternal strengths, the dam to this bull is known around the globe by her nickname “Legendary”. She is the dam to Kamikaze, Katrina, Santa Maria, and Forijado. 33 has raised Regional, National, and even World Champions.
If you like practical, functional and hands off cattle that do it on their own, this a bull you will appreciate. Purchased in the 2020 Back to the Basics Sale by Clark Ranching we asked if we could use him a little on lease before delivering to the Clarks in Edgerton for their late breeding. After seeing the true Angus quality of those first calves we knew we needed to lease him back and collect some in herd semen. We are glad we did as we bred all our early calving heifers to him the following year and think they may be some of the best replacements we have ever raised.
The bull we call “Wheatland” comes from the super operation of Michelson’s and Lafrentz’s that Matthew and Mick selected as a powerful son of Bluechip. He has turned out to be a big footed, bigger framed herd sire with a lot of quality. He has been quite a useful breeding tool that is giving us that added punch, extra hair and a high degree of soundness that we appreciate. We will continue to incorporate his genetic contribution into the herd.
We were able to purchase Real Estate from the good folks at Keuber Angus as a lead off calf from their flush to Brooking Real Estate. He has been a hard working herd bull that gets it done in the river hills and moves his big body around with ease. Lots of length of body here with this guy and the females should be great with Soo Line Rose 1019 and Tiger right up close in his pedigree.
Classic came from Lee and Dawn as an own son of the incredible DMM 5C that has been an outstanding donor in the Miller Wilson program. He was selected as the Saskatchewan Angus Century Sweepstakes Bull, and we purchased him later that day. Full sisters at Bashaw looked absolutely outstanding and Classic himself is a good looking, stout and moderate framed bull. We certainly look forward to calving his first daughters this year.
411J is a breeding piece that
are excited to
This bull is a
ease specialist at an 82 lbs BW, but has the frame, length of spine, and muscling to add pounds come weaning. This bull is backed by the Chimes cow family, and his dam is one that simply produces a top end calf every year. This must be genetic because the maternal sister to this bull is the exact same way. Here’s a bull that we think highly about. 414J is out of two extremely strong cow families, the Envious Blackbird and Barbara Rose lines. You can expect nothing but the best maternal influence and consistency from 414J. This bull brings such a big amount of foot and bone and a whole lot of muscle and performance to the table that we think he’s a unique breeding piece around here.
This is a natural calf by our donor 808F. It would be hard to direct you to another bull that packs so much maternal greatness into one package. Starting with his dam is a cow that is as close to the model Angus cow as we have on our place. Highly fertile, highly productive, and an exceptional udder in a right sized package. If fact she left us with a herd bull 92G by Charlo at 17 months of age. We knew we had an early pregnancy but we weren’t expecting a newborn calf running around the pasture that day in May! On the sires side is the impressive DMM 5C, another model Angus cow. When Mick toured Miller Wilson and seen the full sisters to Classic he came home truly impressed. That is nothing to say of the Granddams which include our most powerful Angus cow and donor 20D as well as the Supreme Champion 61W. You will like the bull and absolutely love the daughters.
ANGUS BULLS
SELLS WITHOUT PAPERS. It’s a shame that this bull sells without papers due to a registration mishap awhile back because this is a high-performance bull. 506J is a well-rounded individual, he’s long spined, BW 90 Proj Sale Wt 1875 REG #: 2229858 | TATTOO: MJT 505J | DOB: April 29 2021 Sire: Dam:
Here’s a good footed younger bull with a little extra presence that is out of a strong 12-year-old cow. This bull is deep ribbed, and square from where he plants his feet all the way up to his hip. We really appreciate the roundness he’s showing in the lower quarter of his hind end considering his age.

an easy doing heifer bull, he’s moderate, with a thick topline in him. This well-balanced bull is out of a prominent line of females, with maternal sisters being some of our up and comers in the production department. BAR-H CROSSFIRE 29C BAR-E-L WISECRACK 246W
mama cow to this bull is an exceptional breeding piece that doesn’t disappoint. See her in person and you will agree that you would want a 100 like her. 540J is a bull with a lot of top and muscle and is framed about in the middle for a real efficient and stout package that we really like in terms of his overall balance. Consistent genetics here.

We would like to invite you to visit any time to take a look at the cow herd. By calving a group in January we are able to offer the benefit of seeing many siblings in production with calves at side. The coffee is always on at MJT!
