ANNUAL FUND Once again we have outstanding news to report regarding our 2019 Annual Fund Campaign. With the tremendous success we have seen in our Annual Fund over the last few years, we set a 2019 goal of $150,000. Last year, 891 participants contributed a total of $221,900 to the Merrie-Woode Annual Fund, and we surpassed our goal! As a nonprofit organization, Merrie-Woode relies on the Annual Fund to support the operations of camp, including the programming, staffing, and facilities. The Annual Fund also provides resources for camperships, the tuition scholarships that provide financial assistance to many camp families and to young women who would not otherwise have the opportunity to attend summer camp. In addition to our traditional campaign, we hosted our sixth annual Young Alumnae Challenge. All gifts received through the Young Alumnae Challenge are specifically designated for camperships. This year we challenged our young CMW alumnae to raise the equivalent of three full tuition Camperships (one for each camp session). In just three days, the Young Alumnae raced past the goal with an amazing total of $18,375 raised, allowing for three Camperships plus additional funds to support partial Camperships. All contributions to the Merrie-Woode Foundation are tax deductible for individuals, corporations, and foundations within the limits of section 501(c)3 of the IRS code.
