Camp For All is a unique, barrier-free camp working in partnership with other not-for-profit organizations to enrich the lives of children and adults with challenging illnesses or special needs and their families throughout the year.
ABOUT CAMP FOR ALL
Camp For All is the national leader
in creating and providing proven lifechanging experiences for children and adults with challenging illnesses or special needs through passionate and professional staff, cutting edge facilities and innovative programming. The barrier-free, not just accessible, camp is located on 206 acres in Washington County, Texas and has served more than 170,000 campers since 1998.
Camp For All 2U provides this
same life-changing camp experience for children who are unable to leave the hospital. The unique, award winning, one-week day camp program allows patients to canoe, learn archery, roast s’mores, pet the barnyard animals and more all without leaving the hospital! CAMPERS come to Camp For All with many challenges including autism, muscular dystrophy, cancer, Down syndrome, cognitive differences, multiple sclerosis, neurofibromatosis, PKU, spina bifida, sickle cell disease, seizure disorders, HIV, brain trauma, PTSD, missing limbs and more.

PRESIDENT/CEO LETTER Dear Camp For All Family, I think you will agree that 2020 was challenging and unlike any other time in our lives. Life became “virtual,” which we all know has been incredibly isolating. For the people Camp For All serves, children and adults with challenging illnesses or special needs, the challenge was even greater! Campers with epilepsy, cancer, cerebral palsy, sickle cell, HIV, brain injuries, severe burns, and more were so excited about coming to Camp and then the pandemic forced us to close. Joyful anticipation turned into disappointment and sadness. And let’s not forget our campers’ families and the opportunity that Camp provides for their emotional healing. Although our gates were closed, some really big hearts kept Camp For All alive! As the year progressed, those hearts beat stronger than ever! Thank you, donors! You gave from your hearts and we began 2020 with a successful gala. The timing was lucky because Camp For All closed right afterwards, from March through August, resulting in a $2M loss in Partner revenue. But you, our Camp For All heroes were there for us! Many of our loyal donors gave, very generously to the Emergency Fund, removed restrictions from gifts and even welcomed pies in the face to help raise needed funds. This incredible support enabled Camp For All to continue to care for the facility, horses, animals and staff so that we would be prepared for the day when Camp would, once again be open. In addition, a PPP government loan, a first for Camp For All, was received and forgiven. Thank you to the Camp For All Boards! Your generous hearts provided needed support both financially and emotionally. Your passion for our Mission grew despite not meeting in person. And thank you for beginning to work on a new Strategic Plan, virtually and keeping the future of Camp For All vital to the community and those we serve.

Thank you to the Camp For All staff. It was heartbreaking not to be able to serve our campers, but that didn’t stop you from using the opportunity to take a fresh look at everything we do, innovate, cut expenses and take communication to the next level. You put your hearts into finding new ways to serve our campers from afar, including creating virtual camp activities that were utilized not only by our Partners and campers, but by organizations serving children in need throughout the country.
In the fall, open but still not able to offer our normal camp model, creative, new programs were developed. Family Camp enabled Partners to bring families in a unique way. One family per cabin, family led activities and their own table in the Dining Hall helped campers experience a much needed get away. We took that a step further and created Camp For Y’All, which was offered on open weekends to any Mission or non-Mission family. Heart is all about character, feeling, passion and love. Thank you for keeping Camp For All in your hearts. Thank you for giving from your heart! Working together, Camp For All remains where the heart is for those we serve. From my heart to yours,

FINANCIAL SUMMARY 2020 Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Camp For All closed for the safety of campers and staff from March through August, 2020. Combined with a reduced attendance in the fall, this resulted in over $2M revenue loss in program service fees. With increased support from incredibly generous donors and dedication to reducing expenses, Camp For All was able to cover 90% of the cost of delivering camp in creative, new ways as well as traditional programming.
