ARCHITECTURE

I am an architect with 7 years of experience in urban and housing design, project management, and technical coordination of architectural projects, primarily focused on housing and utilizing BIM methodology. My analytical and forward-thinking approach has allowed me to plan and structure projects of various kinds, delivering outstanding results. I have contributed to the design of notable projects such as Hacienda Samaria and Hacienda Alcalá, developed by the company Amarilo S.A.S., and have worked on the BIM technical coordination of projects such as ET-CAN and the Attorney General's Office - Cúcuta Section. My mastery of specialized tools such as BIM 360 and Revit supports my ability to provide cutting-edge solutions in architecture.
In addition to my architecture background, I hold two postgraduate degrees: one in BIM Project Management and another in Development Studies, which, in addition to equipping me with management skills, provide me with a broad understanding of the impact of public policies on territorial development, especially in the areas of housing and territorial planning. I am proficient in English and Portuguese.

Alcalá is a residential complex located on the outskirts of Bogotá, developed by the company Amarilo SAS, consisting of 76 independent housing units, as well as a Club House equipped with a swimming pool, gatehouse, and technical units. In this project, I played the role of overall leader in the field of Architecture, focusing especially on the design and technical coordination of the common areas. The team was comprised of Pablo Moreno Escobar as general director, Claudia Portela in urban planning, and architects Paula Zúñiga and Lucía Zuluaga.
The urban design of Alcalá is characterized by its oval layout, which concentrates a linear park and various recreational spaces at its center. Brick is the main material used in the facades, complemented by a careful selection of colors in the paint. In addition to architecture, our team, PM Architects, was in charge of furniture and urban element design, ensuring a cohesive and aesthetic integration throughout the project.

The entrance gate of the Alcalá project was conceived as a threshold building that clearly marks the inside and outside of the housing complex. It consists of three elements: 1) a delimiting portico (threshold), 2) a central volume for visual and vehicular control, and 3) a lateral volume for employee services and waste area. Materials were projected for this building, which included cappuccino-colored brick, palette and colored paint for facades and interiors, and wooden elements and petals for the entrance.

The clubhouse is a communal building that contains wet areas, including a heated swimming pool for children and adults, bathrooms, and changing rooms. Additionally, it features collaborative work areas, storage rooms, a social area called the social kitchen, and a game room for the entertainment and enjoyment of young people.
The building's design is based on the intersection of two wings at a 90-degree angle. This intersection forms a central courtyard, which serves as a prelude to the entrance of the building and is conceived as a multipurpose outdoor gathering space. It includes a central area with a bonfire and a native tree characteristic of the Bogotá savanna.

This project was developed during my tenure at Pm Architects, where I served as the lead designer. It is a building located in the city of Armenia, in Colombia, adjacent to Parque Fundadores. It was conceived as social housing, modular, efficient, and designed with the demands primarily of young people in mind. There are 165 apartments on 15 levels, with a ground floor featuring commercial premises located around the perimeter of the building. On the 15th floor, there are amenities such as a gym, laundry room, and social lounge, while on the 16th floor, there is a club area with Jacuzzis and outdoor recreational areas. It has 4 basements.
It is a building with 4 facades, with a commercial passage on the first level. On the typical residential floors, the layout is organized through a central perimeter corridor, which is naturally ventilated. The materials used were mainly fiber cement panels and glass on the facade. Interior divisions are made of gypsum/fiber cement panels with acoustic insulation.

The urban and architectural design were carried out by PM Arquitectos SAS. In this project, I oversaw the design and technical coordination of one of the house typologies (House A) and the gatehouse for access to the project. The team consisted of Pablo Moreno Escobar as general director, Paula Zúñiga as project leader, Claudia Portela in urban planning, and the collaboration of architects Natalia Franco and Nicolás García.

The urban design of Hacienda Samaria is characterized by its sinuous layout, which optimizes the required area for roads and creates dynamic urbanism, with changing perspectives and pedestrian paths arranged so that the entire project can be explored. Urbanism incorporates outdoor recreation areas such as yoga terraces, bike paths, and children's.

The gatehouse of Hacienda Samaria was conceived as a threshold building that clearly delineates the inside and outside of the housing complex. It comprises four elements: 1) a delineating portico (threshold), 2) a central volume for visual and vehicular control, 3) a lateral volume for employee service areas, and 4) a technical volume. Additionally, it features a green facade (garden). These were designed using materials such as capuccino-colored brick, a palette of paints for facades and interiors, and wooden and metallic elements for the entrance.

The undergraduate thesis project in Architecture, submitted in 2016, entails a proposal for an anthropology and territory museum in San Agustín, Huila, specifically located in the northern part of the municipality, only 2 km away from the San Agustín Archaeological Park. The conceptual focus of the design revolves around golden ratio modules, conceived as sculpted stones to create spaces that evoke the local archaeological heritage.
Regarding the urban approach, it centers on the revaluation of the landscape formed by the ecosystem of the “Las Moyas” stream, which constitutes the southern boundary of the municipality. After passing through San Agustín, this stream suffers from a high degree of pollution that flows into the Magdalena River. The project proposes to be situated in the first urban zone through which the stream passes, suggesting the development of trails that foster interaction among the municipality’s residents, tourists, and the ecosystem, aiming to recover and highlight the importance of the stream in San Agustín.

This house was a basic schematic commission for Pm Architects. The proposal consisted of prefabricated modules raised from the ground that could be connected by means of a corridor. They could be 1-2-3 modules depending on the user's requirements. This was a commission designed with architects Pablo Moreno and Paula Zúñiga.

Architecture competition proposing the design concept for the new music building at the University of Los Andes. The concept involved creating a composition where the ground floor would function as a human hub – serving as an articulating element for the circulation paths. Euclidean approach in geometry: 1) cylindrical shape in the basement + open plan on the first level + 2) 3 volumes primarily consisting of classrooms. I was an architect collaborator in the proposal. The team was composed of architects Pablo Moreno, María Otero, Paula Zúñiga, Natalia Franco, and Nicolas García.
The contest consisted of proposing a prefabricated and modular housing solution for a company that builds housing in Spain. Our proposal was based on creating assembly modules with different modulations that would generate various configurations. The central space of this proposal is the courtyard. The proposal was developed together with architects Diego Alvarez and Gustavo Rivera.
