The College is excited to announce that we are taking over the management of the community garden located in the grounds of the PCYC in Taree.

This garden has been long awaited by the green-fingered community in the area, and we are thrilled to be able to bring it to life. However, we need your help to make this project a success. The garden needs lots of TLC, and we are looking for volunteers and donations to help us kick-start this exciting initiative. Whether you're an experienced gardener or have never tried your hand at gardening before, we'd love to have you on board.

This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and make a positive impact in your community. By getting involved in this project, you'll be helping to create a beautiful, sustainable garden for the community to enjoy.

We're confident that with the support of the local community, we can create a wonderful transformation and look forward to planting spring crops. So, if you want to be a part of this exciting project and contribute to your community, please call our Taree office on 02 6559 6699.

Join us in this fulfilling and rewarding experience, and let's create something special together!

At our College, we believe that education should be accessible to all, regardless of background or circumstances. Thanks to government funding, we are proud to have an Outreach Support Officer, Daniel, who joined our team earlier this year to maximise the impact of Adult Community Education (ACE) in our area.

Daniel has already made a big difference in supporting students, community organisations, and employers to ensure the best outcomes for ACE training.

His role involves connecting with those students who need extra assistance and supporting them throughout their studies. He works closely with agencies, employers, and community groups to ensure their needs are met and that we are creating employment and development opportunities that are in line with the needs of our area.

The college believes in providing a wraparound service to our students, setting them up for success and encouraging them throughout their learning journey.

ACE provides affordable, local training and education to NSW communities, and is designed to help you get into work for the first time, return to work, acquire new skills, knowledge, and experience, and strengthen existing skills whilst improving your confidence.

Daniel comes to us with vast experience in the education, health promotion, and community service sectors.

As a proud Gamilaroi man, he has worked in Aboriginal communities across the country, including the Taree area. We are thrilled to have Daniel as part of our team, and we believe that he can help you succeed in your studies.

If you think that Daniel can help you, please contact us on 6559 6699 or email outreach@chace.org.au.

Testimonial Jodi Dening

Student: Certificate 111 in Individual Support (Ageing, Home Care and Disability) and Certificate IV in Ageing Support

I was very satisfied with the courses. They were well presented, great practical guidance and good group interactions. Trainers were dedicated and supporting. The feedback with the assignments was very helpful and informative. I feel confident working in Aged Care since finishing both courses and having the chance to complete on the job training.

Thank you.
