Wiyabu!
Welcome to term three at your local Community College. We are proud to share that already this year, we have seen so many of our students take part in courses that have truly changed their lives for the better. These courses could be vocational education or a general interest course, providing new skills, career pathways, and life-enhancing opportunities.
Thanks to government funding, we can offer a range of adult education courses fee -free, making general interest and nationally recognised accredited courses accessible to our community.
We believe that education is a powerful tool that can change lives, and we are glad to be able to provide this opportunity to our students.
You may have seen the Commonwealth Government's campaign to promote the Care and Support Sector. Their tagline "A Life Changing Life" resonates with me as I reflect on our students and the lives they change every day. We are proud of our students' contributions to our community, which make a world of difference to those people for whom they care, their families, and their friends. Whether you are already working in the sector and wish to upskill, or you are starting on a new career path,

Inside you will also find a colouring in copy of the NAIDOC Week Poster. Get creative and post your colouring in on social media with the hashtags at the bottom of the poster.
Bobbi Lockyer, a proud Ngarluma, Kariyarra, Nyulnyul and Yawuru artist, born and based on Kariyarra Country in Port Hedland, is the winner of the prestigious National NAIDOC Week Poster Competition for 2023 with her entry, For Our Elders.
“Where there is knowledge there are our Elders. Our Elders paved the pathways for us, taught us our knowledge, our history, they passed down their art, stories and wisdom. Our Elders are the foundation of our communities and role models for our children. With this poster I wanted to showcase how important our Elders are in passing down traditions and culture to our children and future.” said Bobbi.
You can view the poster and watch a to learn more about the incredible Bobbi Lockyer and her artwork by heading to the National NAIDOC Week website:
