CGS Cafeteria Volunteers Thank you for volunteering to help at the Camberwell Grammar School Cafeteria in 2021. A special welcome to new volunteers and welcome back to those of you who have volunteered before. The catering company who is contracted by the school is Chartwells and is led by David Clarke and his team. Volunteer hours of duty for 2021 are 9.00am – 12.00pm. On a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only 1 volunteer is required, however for Thursday and Friday which are the busiest days, 2 volunteers are required. ROSTER Please sign up for shifts using google forms on the Cafeteria Roster page on DEEDS: https://deeds.cgs.vic.edu.au/homepage/1893/ You will also receive an email to remind you of your upcoming duty. If you are unable to attend your shift please notify myself, Karley Knight in the Community and Development Office on 9835 1743 or fog@cgs.vic.edu.au. As much notice as possible is preferred so that alternate arrangements can be made. DAY OF YOUR SHIFT On the day of your cafeteria shift, you may park on school grounds. The closest parking available is via Gate 5, Mont Albert Rd (next to Belmont Park). Follow the driveway down and around the back near the cafeteria/tennis courts. Please sign in at Roystead Reception and sign out when you leave. Please adhere to current Covid19 requirements when volunteering. When you attend cafeteria duty please wear comfortable clothing and covered non-slip flat shoes, please tie long hair back. Please keep jewellery to a minimum. The cafeteria will supply aprons for your shift. You will also be offered a coffee and an item from the ‘grab and go’ fridge or something warm to either have in the break or to take home with you once the shift is finished. WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK AND FOOD SAFETY COURSE A Working with Children Check needs to be completed by all adults involved with the school. A volunteer check is free. If you do not have a Working with Children Card, you can enrol online via the website www.online.justice.vic.gov.au . Please fill in an application form, print and take to your nearest post office for processing. Two passport-sized photos are required. When you have received the Working with Children Card could you please take it to the Community and Development Office, they will take a photocopy of your card and file this copy.
