VICTOR AND ANA OPUNGU – PAPUA NEW GUINEA
Dear Praying Friends, There were 45 people who registered for the Scripture Application and Leadership Training (SALT) which will be conducted from January 21 to February 2. The first day started off slow as there was a death in the village which delayed the training as we were able to start at 11:00 am instead of 8:00 am. The participants are eager and interested in the lessons so far. The SALT booklet was translated into Mekeo and it is required for the participants to have a Mekeo New Testament to use during the course. Many of the participants are struggling in reading the Mekeo Bible but we hope that by the end of two weeks they would be able to read better. I spotted one wonderful sight on the third day ‐ a well‐used Mekeo Bible owned by one lady. Please continue to pray for: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
Safe travel, good health and protection for the teaching team and participants Holy Spirit’s preparation of the participants’ heart Wisdom, guidance and anointing for the teaching staff Open heart and blessing for the community and the churches to provide food The Mekeo people to behold God’s glory and their hearts be drawn to Him
Thank you for praying. Working together with you, Ana for the Teaching Team, the Committee, and the Participants
