Welcome!
This is your support guide, where we hope to answer all the questions that you may have about the training journey you are about to take!
Firstly, let us start by saying thank you for agreeing to be a Support Trainer.
BOOST is one of the biggest transformational changes our organisation has gone through, and we would not be able to make it a success without your support.
The training of the new systems and processes is vital to the successful implementation and embedding of the new practises into business as usual.
Training people can be a daunting process; however, it can also be one of the best experiences you can have. What we have found so far with this project is that our colleagues are desperate to get to know about the changes, play with the system and have their questions answered. And guess what, that’s what you are here for!!
We will go through the transactional stuff you may want to know in this guide and point you towards the material etc, so you have all the tools you need to succeed in your role as a support trainer.
Best of luck
Where will I find the training material?
All the training material can be found in the Teams Site
Within the Teams site, look in files tab at the top.
Safety Moments
If a course is longer than 2 hours, you will need to conduct a Safety moment as per our policy here at Calor.
Safety moments vary across the business. For training purposes try and use safety moments that are engaging and start the beginning of the learning journey for our colleagues.
Click here to learn more about our Safety moments and get some ideas of what to deliver.
Where can you view your training schedule?
All training has been uploaded into Workday, so all colleagues and managers will be able to view their training path.
As a trainer you can also view the schedule and mark colleagues as attending the session or being absent.
This is really important to ensure that we are reporting correctly throughout the Programme.
A step by step can be found on the following page.
If colleagues need to make changes to their schedules, this needs to be managed via their manager and an email sent to the following mailbox BOOSTTraining@calor.co.uk
Please ensure that you are advising colleagues' of the above so we can manage the process quickly and efficiently and ensure the best customer journey that we can.

Course Assessment and Feedback
There is no formal scoring for BOOST training we just ask that you support your colleagues as much as possible with the learning.
After the courses please send everyone a post course feedback form, so we see how well we are doing or where to improve https://forms.office.com/r/9T4ArsGby4
Dealing with problems
There may be occasions when you feel that some colleagues are struggling with the training or need additional support to really understand the learning.
In these instances, please ensure you pass on the information to your trainer who can raise it in the daily stand-up meetings we will be hosting throughout the training the programme.
Clever Nelly
We have hired a company called Elephant’s never forget. Through this company we will use a tool called Clever Nelly.
This tool sends emails to certain colleagues to measure the impact and knowledge gained during the training.
This will give us a great indication of how the learning has been received and where changes need to be made.
There is no action for you here but we wanted to inform you in case you get questions.
Travel and accommodation
There will be times while you're delivering training where you may need to travel to a venue.
This may also mean that you may need to stay in a hotel. Details of site locations and postcodes can be found on COLIN
To book hotels please use Egencia, find further details here
It is your responsibility to book your travel and accommodation to ensure that you are there in time for all training sessions. The Calor travel policy can be found here

Final Word
It is absolutely normal to feel nervous before you being a training programme, but remember that the only purpose of the training is to give colleagues knowledge and to teach them how to use a new system, and you know how to teach that.
Speaking from a lot of experience, things go very well a lot more than they don’t so try not to focus on your nerves.
Some key tips to remember:
• It is ok to take down a question and find out the answer later, remember to take the colleagues name to so you can get back to them
• It is perfectly fine to have fun and try to enjoy the experience, the more fun you have the better learning the colleague will get
• You may be alone in the training room but you are part of a large team, many of who have a lot of experience in training so if in doubt give someone a call!!
Good luck with your sessions, we look forward to hearing how fantastic you were.
