1 . Any children seven years of age or younger must be within arm’s reach of an adult 16 years of age or older, and the parent / guardian MUST be in the water . No swim tests are allowed until child is eight years old . 2 . Anybody eight years and older who show signs of weak swimming may be asked to use a lifejacket or can challenge the swim test . If the swim test is completed then no lifejacket and no adult supervision is required . If the swim test is not passed, patron must wear a lifejacket .
Swim Test (as recommended by the Lifesaving Society):
Sixty seconds treading water with head fully out of the water, immediately followed by 25 meters swim without stopping .
Please note: • Must take a head to toe shower with soap before entering the pool . • Consult and get permission from your doctor if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or are 65+ years . • Max . of three children under 8 years may be supervised by one caregiver, 16+ years . • No urinating in or fouling the pool . • Children 0-2 years and anyone incontinent must wear a swim diaper and waterproof pool pants . • No diving in shallow end . • No outdoor shoes . • No glass, food, gum or drink . • No running, rough play, offensive behaviour or foul language . Do not use pool if you: • Have been told not to by a regional health authority or doctor . • Have diarrhea or have had diarrhea in the past two weeks . • Have an infectious or communicable disease, sores, and / or wounds . • Are under the influence of drugs or alcohol . IF YOU FEEL DIZZINESS, FATIGUE, HEADACHE, OR NAUSEA LEAVE THE POOL IMMEDIATELY AND FIND ASSISTANCE
