The event is the industry’s premier forum to develop cooperation among all segments of the beef industry in the compilation and utilization of performance records to improve efficiency, profitability and sustainability of beef production. “The scholarships provided by CBCIA to attend the BIF conference allowed me to make valuable connections with those working on beef cattle genetics and enhance the applicability of the research projects I am working on at UC Davis,” said Emily Andreni, UC Davis graduate student. Hank Stone Memorial Scholarship Fund In 2014, the CBCIA Board of Directors voted to honor longtime CBCIA supporter and past president, Hank Stone, by dedicating our annual scholarship in his memory. Annually, $2,500 is awarded to two college student’s pursuing careers to improve the beef industry though the CCA scholarship program.
