NOVEMBER 10 SPECIAL MASS TO HONOR VETERANS St. Mel Catholic Church in Woodland Hills is planning a mass and special event to honor all our many veterans of the armed forces. NOVEMBER 28, 2PM – 5PM 5TH ANNUAL SOLIS FAMILY READING FESTIVAL This free event is a day of family-friendly entertainment, live music, and arts and crafts. All donations go to Literally Healing at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, which uses books to lift the spirits of patients and their families, providing them a source of distraction during their recovery. Children and parents alike will delight in the reading of their favorite books by their teachers, principals, firemen, policemen, city councilmembers, and even the mayor! NOVEMBER 30, 8PM & DEC 1 AND 2 CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL CONCERTS “STAR OF WONDER” The Cal Lutheran Choral Ensembles and University String Symphony combine forces to present the annual Christmas Festival Concerts. Welcome the holiday season with this special musical gift, featuring a narrated performance of Christmas music guaranteed to put you in the holiday mood. As always, the program for this longest-running annual event will include delightful lesser-known carols as well as familiar favorites. Wyant Morton and Yoshika Masuda conduct. This year’s homes are located on Westlake Island and in Westlake Village and Agoura Hills. Tickets sales go directly to help families cope with cancer.
