The Calabasas Chamber of Commerce has had an exciting year filled with changes, and we are busy preparing for the holiday season. Our Board of Directors has added new talent who are dedicated to creating fun, positive changes in our community. Pamela Kissel, our new CEO; Chelsae Jordan, Membership Director; and the newest member of our team, Channon Pruett, Administrative Assistant, are working hard to bring you a year filled with exciting and informative events that will make everyone want to be a part of this wonderful community. We have worked closely with several local businesses and residents who are proud to represent the city of Calabasas and inspire new members to join the chamber. Autumn is the start of the holiday season and our annual Pumpkin Festival is underway. Several local businesses participate in this yearly event and help transform Calabasas into an exciting pumpkin-palooza! Each year thousands come out to celebrate and enjoy the many activities we have planned for kids of all ages.
VINTAGE GROCERS GRAND OPENING AT THE PROMENADE On October 1, Vintage Grocers, a community-minded market and retailer of gourmet, organic, and natural foods, officially opened its doors at The Promenade at Westlake. Guests enjoyed live music from a local band and food samples from some of Vintage Grocers’ most popular vendors. The grand opening event kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Paige Laurie, owner of Vintage Grocers; Eric Fuchser, Market Director of Vintage Grocers; and Rick Lemmo, SVP of Development-Community Relations at Caruso Affiliated. Rick Caruso, CEO of Caruso Affiliated, and Jack Nassie, general manager of Vintage Grocers, also joined the festivities. This store marks the second location for Vintage Grocers. The new Westlake location is double the size of the Malibu location and offers an even wider range of products, all sourced from Southern California’s leading food establishments and local artisans. A private wine tasting room, fresh poke, pressed juices, and a variety of graband-go stations further enhance the new space.
