H
uayra. The one and only Pagani Huayra. At a base price of $1.4 million dollars, the Pagani Huayra is truly a hypercar. A hypercar is a kind of unicorn in the automotive world. You have seen it online and in magazines, but does it really exist? That is the question. When rumors hit Southern California that Pagani Beverly Hills had received and was going to deliver its first Pagani Huayra, social media was abuzz. Is it true? Will it be driven? Who bought it? All these questions and more were driving the car community crazy. Then, like wildfire, word hit that the privately owned Pagani Huayra was going to be debuting at Supercar Sunday, and the debut became a car show unto itself -- it was the Pagani Show!

The Huayra, which is named after the god of wind, boasts 720 hp out of its 6.0-liter, twin-turbo Mercedes Benz AMG motor, custom built for Pagani. When the twin turbos “spool,” it’s as if there is a hurricane behind you...the God of wind indeed! And that’s when you know where Huayra got its name. The top speed of the Huayra is well over 200 mph. People who’ve had the opportunity to drive the Huayra or be a passenger in it have called riding in it one of the greatest moments of their automobiling lives. With approximately 10 Huayras dedicated to be delivered in the United States this year, the legend of the Huayras is alive, yet still a unicorn!
