SOPHIE ROSE MUSICAL SHOWCASE AT THE SIX CHOW HOUSE
Musical prodigy Sophie Rose hosted an intimate music showcase and lunch on Friday, January 15th at The Six Chow House in Calabasas. She performed a few of her favorite songs while guests enjoyed lunch and grooved out to her edgy-pop tunes. At 16-years-old, Sophie has written over 250 songs, collaborated with some of the top writers and producers in pop music, and is currently signed to a publishing joint venture between hit songwriter Ester Dean and Dr. Luke’s Prescription Songs. Ever since Sophie was young, singing and performing have been a part of her. She began writing songs at age 9, deeply inspired by Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry. Sophie’s song “Friends Forever” was licensed by MasterCard for their Stand Up To Cancer campaign that aired during the 2015 Major League Baseball season on ESPN. Sophie is using her talents to help others by supporting charitable causes including ACT Today! Autism Care and Treatment and the American Red Cross.
THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS DREAM HOUSE RAFFLE Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC) will launch its seventh Dream House Raffle (DHR), one of the largest house raffle fundraisers in Southern California, offering a $5 million, 7,400-squarefoot Hidden Hills home or $3 million cash. In addition to the Dream House, raffle participants have the chance to win several luxury prizes including vacations and cars. The odds of winning a prize are one in 40. “Those who support the Dream House Raffle enable Special Olympics Southern California to provide year round sports training and competitions at no cost to the athletes and their families,” said Bill Shumard, President and CEO, Special Olympics Southern California.
