Beginning of the story Buttercup is Born

The beginning of the story begins on page 37. The first story is about the Duke and the Duchess. Buttercup is a baby sleeping and eating. That is not entertaining to read. The writer wants the story about the Duke and the Duchess to entertain us.

The words ‘in-law’ just mean by marriage. When one person marries someone in another family they get the title ‘in-law’. If Damon marries Lisa Simpson. Bart will be his brother-in-law, Homer will be his father-in-law. Maggie will be his sister-in-law. Marge will be his mother-in-law. If Lisa Simpson marries Damon. Luke will become her brother-in-law. Karen will become her sister-in-law. Dave will become her father-in-law. Maggie will become her mother-in-law. Elsie will become her grandmother-in-law. Alf will become her grandfather-in-law. When you marry someone their family becomes your family. In English we say ‘in-law’ so people will know if the family members are related by blood or by marriage.
