The Federal Employee Antidiscrimination Act, H.R. 1557, is a bill amending the Notification and Federal Employee Anti-discrimination and Retaliation Act (No FEAR) of 2002. Namely, H.R. 1557 strengthens Federal antidiscrimination laws enforced by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and expands accountability within the Federal government. Representative Elijah Cummings, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, introduced H.R. 1557 on March 24, 2015. After receiving bi-partisan support, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 1557 on July 21, 2015 by a vote of 403-0. One measure within the bill prohibits agencies from using nondisclosure agreements (a.k.a. gag orders) to restrict an employee from disclosing to Congress, the Office of Special Counsel, or an inspector general any information that relates to any violation of law, rule, or regulation or instance of waste, fraud, or abuse. Clearly Understood What I know for sure is . . . That racism still exists. The lives of Trayvon Martin, Eric Gardner and Michael Brown can attest to that.

What I know for sure is . . . That Black Lives Don’t Matter ~ to some. The NINE (9) lives loss at AME Church in Charleston can attest to that. What I know for sure is . . . That we are living in perilous & unscrupulous times. Our cases of injustice are ignored and disregarded each and every time. What is Clearly Understood. . . Is that our 400 years of blood, sweat and tears are shamefully wasted on deaf and dumb ears. What is Clearly Understood is . . . that “LAWS” not meant for US, must Quickly be changed; Or, our race as we know it, will NEVER be the same. I can substantiate, Authenticate, and attest to that. ~ Dr. Keesha Karriem The C4C Federal Exchange Newsletter
