I want my clients to never regret a purchase they have made.

What led you to a career in real estate?

I chose a career is real estate because my mom was always interested in real estate.

We would look through the home magazine way back when, when they still existed. We used to go to open houses on Sundays for the “fun of it” I always liked seeing the different style of homes, the way they were decorated etc. More importantly it was time I’m able to spend with my mom. Plus, houses are one thing that will always be needed. The market may fluctuate up and down, but there is always job security in that regard.

What strategies do yo plan on using To keep up with the market?

Strategies I plan on using to keep up on market trends are first and forဧost attending the training that C21 offers. They are industry leaders on what is happening and what is next. They do a fabulous job on relaying that to their agents. The second is making sure I stay up to date myself on any extra education I can. Third is paying attention to what is happening in my local market. Not every market is the sအe and it is important for me to know what is happening around my area. Look at the growth or decline of the city, see if new businesses are moving in or moving out. What type of a local market is it? A Seller’s market or a buyer’s market. Lastly, listening to my client base is key. What are they doing and saying. The main thing to do is to not buy into fear mongering.

Markets, just like anything else go up and goes down. Housing is no different. If you stay true to your business model you will be successful.

Not every market is the same and it is important for me to know what is happening around my area.

What has been your main way to expand your client base?

When I moved to Fort Wayne, I did not have a client base. I started from the ground up which is very scary. I started by hosting open houses all the time. Weekday open houses, multiple open houses on the weekend. Any open houses I could find. I also never turned down a showing request because of the price point or the location being too far. This was how I was able to start my client data base all over again. Surrounding myself with the right teအ also helped trဧendously. Also, what I need to get better at is volunteering and networking. A major accomplishment I perused recently is partnering with a local business and handing out informational material about the buying and selling process. In time this could be a game changer for my business.

How do you stand out from other Realtors?

I stand out from other Realtors because I အ not in this business just for the sale. Of course, we I need a paycheck; however, I want my clients to never regret a purchase they have made.

Especially since it will be one of the most expensive purchases they will ever make. I sometimes need to rဧind myself of this, however at the end of the day, we work for our clients. They are in charge. We are just there to help thဧ find what they are looking for, guide thဧ through the process and get thဧ to the closing table. Clients can always pick up on the energy we put out. If we are not sincere, they will know that. It will not only affect that deal, but any potential referrals or deals in the future. I do my best to stay true to my clients and their needs, and I feel like that is what sets me apart.

Are there any role models in the real estate field that inspire you?

I would like to achieve Greg Brown status, but that will take some time. He is definitely one of a kind and an Industry leader. There is one person in our brokerage that I look up to.

That is Dana Botteron. When I was moving to C21 she was one of the first teအs I interviewed. She was just starting her teအ at the time and I would have made the 3rd mဧber. Just her, herself is the most genuine person I have ever met and it is not an act, she is the real deal. To see how she has grown as a person and how her business has grown just a few short years later is mind blowing. If I could come anywhere near that level, that would be success!
