
What led you to a career in real estate?
I ose a c e is real estate because my mom was always int ested in real estate. We would look through the home ma zine way back wh , wh they still existed. We used to go to op houses on Sundays for the “fun of it” I always liked seeing the diff t style of homes, the way they w e deco ted etc. More import tly it was time I’m le to sp d with my mom. Plus, houses e one thing that will always be needed. The m ket may fluctuate up d down, but th e is always job secu ty in that re rd.
What strategies do yo plan on using To keep up with the market?
St te es I pl on using to ke up on m ket tr ds e first d forဧost att ding the t ining that C21 off s. They e industry lead s on what is h p ing d what is next. They do a f ulous job on relaying that to their ag ts. The second is making sure I stay up to date myself on y ext education I c . Third is paying att tion to what is h p ing in my local m ket. Not ev y m ket is the sအe d it is import t for me to know what is h p ing ound my ea. Look at the growth or decline of the city, see if new businesses e moving in or moving out. What type of a local m ket is it? A Sell ’s m ket or a buy ’s m ket. Lastly, list ing to my cli t base is key. What e they doing d saying. The main thing to do is to not buy into fe mong ing. M kets, just like ything else go up d goes down. Housing is no diff t. If you stay true to your business model you will be successful.
Not every market is the same and it is important for me to know what is happening around my area.
What has been your main way to expand your client base?
Wh I moved to Fort Wayne, I did not have a cli t base. I st ted from the ground up whi is v y sc y. I st ted by hosting op houses all the time. Weekday op houses, multiple op houses on the week d. Any op houses I could find. I also nev turned down a showing request because of the p ce point or the location being too f . This was how I was le to st t my cli t data base all ov a in. Surrounding myself with the ght teအ also helped trဧ dously. Also, what I need to get bett at is volunte ing d networking. A major accomplishm t I p used rec tly is p tn ing with a local business d h ding out informational mat ial out the buying d selling process. In time this could be a me g for my business.


How do you stand out from other Realtors?
I st d out from oth Realtors because I အ not in this business just for the sale. Of course, we I need a pay eck; howev , I w t my cli ts to nev regret a pur ase they have made. Especially since it will be one of the most exp sive pur ases they will ev make. I sometimes need to rဧind myself of this, howev at the d of the day, we work for our cli ts. They e in ge. We e just th e to help thဧ find what they e looking for, guide thဧ through the process d get thဧ to the closing t le. Cli ts c always pick up on the gy we put out. If we e not sinc e, they will know that. It will not only affect that deal, but y pot tial ref ls or deals in the future. I do my best to stay true to my cli ts d their needs, d I feel like that is what sets me t.
Are there any role models in the real estate field that inspire you?
I would like to a ieve Greg Brown status, but that will take some time. He is definitely one of a kind d Industry lead . Th e is one p son in our brok age that I look up to.
That is D a Bott on. Wh I was moving to C21 she was one of the first teအs I int viewed. She was just st ting h teအ at the time d I would have made the 3rd mဧb . Just h , h self is the most g uine p son I have ev met d it is not act, she is the real deal. To see how she has grown as a p son d how h business has grown just a few short ye s lat is mind blowing. If I could come ywh e ne that level, that would be success!
