DEAR KEENWA, My hubby triggers me constantly, and refuses to accept responsibility. He also doesn't allow me space to process said triggers, which is an extreme violation of my boundaries. Any advice for him? Or me on how to manifest a more conscious partner? - Boundary Betty

DEAR BOUNDARY BETTY, Congrats! You managed to 'trigger' me by using three of my personal most hated, and overused words in the Shire. 'Boundaries' for all the new residents is another term for: my way or the highway, do it like this or else! An inevitable occurrence in all relationships. They say sorry. We forgive them. They do it again. We forgive them. We do it to them. No one is out to get us, we are just messy humans giving life a good hard crack, winning sometimes, and failing mostly. But by all means use your white privilege to attract all that you deserve, whilst all those homeless, abused peeps suck up their life situations that they asked for.

DEAR KEENWA, Roadside produce stalls! I'm from the big smoke, and this just does not go on down there. Problem is, last week I needed change of a redback and there was none. I really needed those dahlias though. Tell me, who rules the I.O.U? Should I have left too much or taken too much? Or do you recommend grabbing change another day, yet what if I get caught red-handed? I refuse to knock on the front door as I believe this goes against the roadside policy? Sideshow Sally

DEAR SIDESHOW SALLY, This reminds me of this week's dinner party episode of Married at First Sight. The good ol' honesty box is a pressure-cooker alright. Can you believe Jess asked Dan if he loved her? They literally met a week ago. But know this, the honesty box does not lie. Whether you let the stall holder keep the change or get your own flower needs met, lies between you and the experiment.

Tarotscopes WEEKLY TAROT FORECAST

ON THURSDAY JUPITER STARTS HIS

retrograde sojourn until the middle of August. This may bring huge learning and new perspectives especially for people with planets between 22 and 25 degrees in Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo and Pisces. Also on Thursday a Mercury/ Pluto sextile fosters new insights or creative endeavours. A Mercury/Jupiter square on Friday might bring out the loftier side in people but what feels positive now might not last! The same is true for the weekend when a great deal of uplifting energy is available that needs to be balanced with the occasional reality-check. A Venus/Saturn sextile provides exactly that, whereas a Sun/ Pluto square has the opposite effect, and may ignite compulsive actions and decisions. Also during the weekend a Sun/ Jupiter fire trine offers great optimism and enthusiasm, especially for all things creative, philosophical and spiritual. This is an invitation to transcend the purely mundane world and find more meaning. This aspect lingers until the middle of the week; combined with Venus’ sextile to Pluto and square to Jupiter, it has a tendency to exaggerate the signs and messages received, because Venus resides in creative, visionary and imaginative Pisces. Mercury moves into fiery and fierce Aries on Wednesday. Communication might be challenging during the next month, just because everyone feels so passionate and righteous! For the bigger picture read your Sun, Moon and Rising signs. A Tarot card is drawn for each astrological sign.

g ARIES

The 8 of Swords indicates a great need for clear boundaries. Once Mercury moves into your sign there is no problem with that, but be careful to not lose your cool during the weekend! If you have to assert yourself, do it in the nicest way possible.

h TAURUS

The Temperance Tarot card may assist you to bring much needed balance to your life. Avoid taking extreme positions or perspectives and don’t overindulge in your habitual comfort zone. Maybe you feel inspired to view your life as an art form that you can sculpt in any way desired or necessary.

i GEMINI

The 4 of Disks describes a dilemma you might have to deal with, concerning setting limits and abiding to rules. A part of you would like to be very explicit, or maybe even a bit controlling in your communication, whereas another part of you may feel worried that if you do so, you cut certain people out of your life.

j CANCER

With the 10 of Wands drawn you might feel as if the whole wide world is opposing you. After close examination you may find that it is you who is resisting the current. From here on your actions and reactions may reflect your consciously chosen empowerment.

BY GISELA

k LEO

The Chariot Tarot Card promotes determination and commitment to a chosen path. You are passionate and confident about getting what you want and sure to deserve it! This week an opportunity may open up and you see your chance to create new realities that expand and deepen your true nature.

l VIRGO

c SAGITTARIUS

The 3 of Cups represents great fulfilment and it is the perfect time for celebrating all the beautiful offerings that life grants you. This is a great week to get together with likeminded friends and family, to expand your social circle or to network. You might often feel that sweet spot where giving and receiving is equally rewarding.

The 7 of Cups is drawn for the second consecutive week; this illustrates how difficult it may be to shake off some ingrained, but out-dated patterns. If you have this sinking feeling that changing your ways is overwhelmingly hard, break all goals down into tiny increments that you can build upon on a daily level. Don’t forget to acknowledge your progress!

d CAPRICORN

a LIBRA

The Tower Tarot card implies that things may get out of control this week. It might be beyond your capacity to fix or stabilise a situation, and your plans might be seriously disrupted. Maybe chaos takes over for a while before you are ready to surrender to a new reality. The faster you let go the easier it is.

The 7 of Wands indicates a need to stand by what you value and let other people know what is true for you. If you compromise yourself too much your inner harmony may be seriously disturbed, but if you show others that you have a backbone, you’ll feel empowered and cultivate a more courageous attitude.

b SCORPIO

The Queen of Wands has reclaimed her sovereignty, power and individuality and combines all of that with her feminine wisdom and compassion. With her by your side you find a way to provide strong leadership or guidance, while sustaining a soft and wholehearted way of living.

The 9 of Swords symbolises self-judgement, regret and doubt; it breeds anxiety and a repetitive, negative cycle. Your way out is to move into a place of self-acceptance by applying unconditional love to yourself, in the same way as you treat your pet, your children or your best friend.

e AQUARIUS

f PISCES

The Prince of Wands is often called “Prince Charming’. He is a passionate adventurer, ready to rise to any challenge and follow his heart’s callings. With Mercury, Venus and Neptune in your sign there is no way to deny your desire nature; you might as well enjoy it!

This week's mantra

SOMETIMES THE ONLY THING TO DO IS NOTHING. Give yourself permission to be goal-less. Set aside the need to achieve. Put your feet up and your to do list down. Give all those “shoulds” the cold shoulder. Let your goals wait, they’ll still be standing at attention when you return. Take a mental holiday, however momentary. Untie yourself from the shores of determination and set yourself adrift. Just float, belly turned skyward, arms spread wide. Feel your buoyancy. Do nothing. For 15 minutes, or an afternoon, or a day.

BOOKS FOR Y

This week's review

TITLE: The World Was Whole AUTHOR: Fiona Wright NUMBER OF PAGES: 256 EST. READ TIME: 3 hours and 10 minutes PRICE: $29.95 WHAT IT'S ABOUT: The World Was Whole is a collection

of essays pertaining to ideas about home and the spaces in which we exist. Fiona Wright makes the argument that the places we inhabit can provide great insight into the people we become - whether it’s the house we’ve grown up in or the share house we rented when we’ve left the comfort of family. In this beautiful book Fiona reflects on mental health, illness, growing up in the suburbs of Sydney and the magic in fragility.

WHO IT'S FOR: Those who enjoy social commentary and poetry. This book is a hybrid of the two.

WHY YOU SHOULD READ IT: The World Was Whole

was shortlisted for the Stella Prize so it has been recognised amongst literary folk. Although harrowing at times, where Wright lays bare her battle with her mental health, this book brings light to the joy in the ordinary. It takes the menial details of what it means to be ‘at home’ and magnifies the intricacies of this weird world we live in.

NOTABLE QUOTE: “Perhaps my illness, this problem

I’ve been trying and failing to solve for years, is precisely this: a gravity problem. Perhaps I’ll always be orbiting around its centre because that centre is one of gravity, an inevitable force that it does not do to fight or pull against. This is important, because there’s nothing tragic about gravity.”

I’ve never done an exhibition before so that was pretty cool and to be able to support something like this is really important to me. I like being able to help bring awareness to issues like this, particularly surrounding our ocean and coastline. HOW DOES YOUR ART INTERACT WITH THE OCEAN? The ocean and all its creatures has given me countless opportunities to create and draw the things I love the most.

USING ART IS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL ACTIVIST TOOLS YOUNG PEOPLE EXERCISE TODAY, WOULD YOU AGREE? WHY? Absolutely! Art is just one of the ways we can use our creative expression to bring more awareness to issues that are close to the heart. Humans are visual, we are emotionally driven a lot by what we see, so using our creativity to explore these topics is super powerful for all ages, not just the young.

It’s probably the most effective and easiest to access for most people.
