Out of the three goals, (Personal, educational, and professional) I chose two of the goals that I am focusing on and that is my personal and educational goals. For my personal goals, I want to create a big picture of what I plan to do in life. Then I want to break them down in order to reach my goals, then once I have them together, then I would start working on them to achieve them. For example(Specific and Measurable goals), I plan on finding a job that has great benefits and the best rate of pay, and one that does not require working on weekends(Monday–Friday only), and not working overtime....show more content...
I plan on earning my Master's Degree within a year of Graduation. While I am currently in school, I will rely on my instructors, academic counselors, graduation team, the GCU Online Library, and the school's other resources that will give me additionalhelp when I need them. If I feel lost or a subject seems too difficult, then I will ask e–mail my instructors and let he or she know that I am having difficulty and that I need help. If I am feeling overwhelmed about school, I will seek the help and advice of my academic counselor to help me come up with a solution to help me feel relaxed and not stressed with taking online classes. I know that I will be successful if I always ask and seek help here at GCU. After all of this being said, I believe that I am a D1 in the development level, which is "The Enthusiastic Beginner" (Low Competence/High Commitment). I would be enthusiastic and be highly committed to doing my job if I were to have a certain position or even as a student in school on certain levels in my program, but at the same time, I would and still do not yet know all of the ropes yet. Right now I consider myself a very curious, inexperienced person who does quite have the skills required for the job in hand or the things that I have learned in school so far, but I am yet hopeful that I will learn to develop and learn more and more skills in the near future.

Choosing a career in medicine is my first career choice, and in many ways it is the only career choice I want. From professional athletes that we see on television, to the educators that have taught me and many others through the years, they all have committed themselves to extensive study. They have practiced countless of hours to master their individual skill set for their profession. I see myself following in the same footsteps, but as a pediatrician. I want to also master the skills that it takes to be a great doctor. It may not be simple and the outcome may not be near, but with extensive studying and practice I want to achieve and master the set of skills of pediatric diagnosis and eventually improve the medical process. This is my...show more content...
My working experience with Dr. Sure has taught me that to exercise good clinical judgment required extensive study, practice, and endless hours of work. As a pediatrician, I will strive to make every effort to empower and educate my own patients with the knowledge that will give them control over there aliments. With each visit I hope that we can work together for a brighter and healthier tomorrow.
Naturally, my eagerness to learn came about at a very young age. I always wanted to know how the human body worked. Growing up in the age of YouTube, I often poured over countless hours of videoslearning simple concepts that I could easily understand at that time. As I grew I was always looking to learn something new. Finally, in high school I took advantage of College Now, a program where students in high school had access to college classes on a college campus while receiving college credits. While I was there, I earned a Certificate in Computer Science from CUNY Queens College. This eagerness to learn came about of a very simple reason. My parents had high aspirations for me since no one on either side of their families had ever gone beyond a high school education. They wanted me to be the first in the family to achieve a Bachelor's degree. Finally in 2012, I graduated from St. Johns University with a

Post–Secondary Goals
I am a 17–year–old junior at Port Saint Lucie High School. I plan on graduating with high honors and getting scholarships for college. When I graduate, I don't plan on "taking a break" I plan on enrolling to a four–year college. I want to study in the medical field. I'm planning on majoring in being a nurse, or a registered nurse or a paramedic. My top two choices for colleges are located in Boston Massachusetts which are Northeastern University and Boston University. While being incollege I also plan to have a part time job that will help me pay all my expenses.
I want to become a paramedic or a nurse because I want to be able to give back to the community in need. I also became inspired in becoming a paramedic because of one of my favorite shows called, "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago Med". To be capable to work in this job I have to be able to think and react fast according to the type of situation that you are confronting at the moment. Being able to work under pressure is also a very big factor that contributes to being a paramedic. Concentrating on keeping the person alive and stable is that main goal for the paramedic till they arrive to the hospital and give the patients to the hands of the doctors....show more content...
The reason why is because I'm going to be certified in Technology and Business in an elective that I am currently taking. Being certified in this class will help me find better job opportunities and a good pay. The first step of a paramedic is to be certified as a EMT–B Which Is that basic level. It takes six months to complete 120 to 150 hours of training. Working as a paramedic you can work in many areas. For example, in a fire house, helicopter support, in a cruise ship, and many other

Additionally, when I was younger and inexperienced, my day dreams were of going college and gaining the experience that would lead me to a successful career. Unnecessary time had passed; and unfortunately, I had to work instead of continuing on with school. Many of my older friends talked about their experiences, and my high school friends were also excited about the idea of joining the working class. After being employed with several jobs, I felt as if my life was not reaching full potential. My self–esteem became low and I felt distraught. Furthermore, I needed to motivate myself and decided to pursue my college degree. There is a point in everyone's life where they will have to become financially independent. Unfortunately, for some people this process can be difficult. Planning my life has been a roller

My Overall Academic Goals
For my overall academic goal I would love to get a 4.0 G.P.A but I would at least like to get a 3.5 G.P.A in all of my general and my college major classes for each semester I take at Florissant Valley and also when I attend Forest Park. My strengths to achieve my goal is to stay in my books and study hard to make sure I dont get distracted so I can achieve my goal every semester. Even though I do well in school I need to work on a couple things, one thing I need to work on is my health and wellness, because to achieve my goal I need to have strength and energy and sense my health is poor I get really tired all the time, also something else I need to work on is time management, I need to stop procrastinating and do things right when I get them

The research will also focus on the development needs analysis of my plan and will conclude with appendices.
Personal Development Plan Self evaluation is part of strategic learning through which we reflect on personal abilities or potentials to prosper in life. My development plans are geared at seeing me through my academic struggles in the career part of advanced practices. We are presented with academic resources and opportunities which I should use for my benefit. I need to develop a good culture of reading extensively, critically thinking about what am reading and how such material is relevant to my career path. Another plan is developing a good art of academic research and writing, formulating learning styles that are appropriate to my learning. I should also develop the art of managing my learning environment and understanding how to write academic papers. I should also be in the course of my study to develop the employability skill and prepare myself for internship. Once I accurately develop these skills in the course of my study I would be on the road to career success in advanced business practices.
Development Needs Analysis According to Asselin(2010, p.5), developing a good culture of reading is part and parcel of any academic excellence in life. Throughout our studies we are presented with resource materials that are relevant to our disciplines. This means that the materials

Personal Academic Goal
Being a college student is not all about gaining from each endeavor encountered. There are gains and loses simultaneously. As a student develops in his or her academic career, the student eventually learns that priorities have to be put in place. Being a well–rounded individual can be very difficult as a STEM student. For this reason, my personal academic goal is to be a well–rounded student and individual. A well–rounded student can be defined as a student with a minimum of 3.7 GPA with a role in at least one extracurricular activity. To achieve my goal in becoming a well–rounded individual, I would like to develop, to the best of my ability, excellent study habits, soft–skills and self–discipline in all areas of my life. I strive to attain this personal academic goal.

I volunteered as a mentor to Fulton Junior High students, whom are considered to be at–risk children, during the Spring semester of the 2016 school year through the STEM Mentoring Program. Being a mentor is a leadership position because I guided students in activities. I have held other leadership positions, specifically as president of chemistry club and secretary of pre–medical society, at a priorcollege. I am also currently involved in Inorganic Chemistry research. This research experience helps me to expand my scientific knowledge and add to my resume experience.
Depending on my overall performance in school, I will either continue to graduate school to earn a Biochemistry, M.S, degree or apply to a Physician Assistant program. My academic journey and personal life experiences have been a roller–coaster, so I will take a step–by–step approach to attain my goals. I am currently a certified EMT (Emergency Medical Technician). I will use my experiences along with improvement in academics to apply to a Physician Assistant

When the challenge of beginning college presented itself, I had no goals in mind. When you're 18 and have a high school diploma in your hand, people tend to see you as a piece of molding clay. Your friends and family can't resist telling you what you should do and how you should do it. They also never fail to pile on the questions. Not having the answers to such seemingly simple questions like, "What do you want to be?" "Where do you want to go?" "How are you going to do it?" can make a young, ambitious person question herself. But the reality was, I just did not know yet. I considered becoming a business manager, a dental hygienist, an accountant, a nurse. Originally, I thought not having a solid plan meant I wasn't prepared for college. However, I discovered that no matter what students aspire to pursue during their postsecondary education, everyone must complete General Education Requirements, so that is where I began my journey.
As far as where I wanted to go, my sights were set on the University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau. So in 2014, I left my hometown of Haines, moved into the brand...show more content...
At UAS, I had the option to pursue an Associate of Applied Science degree in Health Science, but I felt completing my Pre–Nursing
Qualifications through UAF would be the better choice. By following that path, the next step would be applying to UAA's School of Nursing to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, my ultimate goal. So in the summer of 2015, I moved from Juneau to Fairbanks, and now, I find myself in the final semester of my pre–nursing requirements. Now, what's left?
This March, I will be sending in my application to the University of Alaska Anchorage School of Nursing, and hope for admission for the fall of 2017. I currently hold a Certified Nurse's Aide license for the State of Alaska, and plan to utilize its employment advatages until I acquire my nursing
