It has been a year of excitement around the farm, from becoming engaged to the love of my life at the National Western to taking her hand in marriage on October 4th, planning our wedding (which I will get told I played a backseat role in and she wouldn’t be wrong), putting together our first sale offering, and expanding our forage operation. Needless to say there have been many late nights and days without enough hours in them, but my wife, family and crew have made it all possible and that is something for which I will be forever grateful. It is with great pleasure that we introduce to you the heifers that make up our first annual High Standards Event! These individuals are the result of what has truly been a decade in the making. I purchased my first pair of females while in college and while both had an impact, 308 has fundamentally helped shape our program from the ground up. The progeny of our matriarch and her daughter 2217 will headline the offering and we believe the set of heifers are true to what these powerful donors are consistently delivering. In addition we were fortunate enough to be able to work with the Rausch family in flushing 1088 to make full sisters to Harms Brothers and our high selling selection 1522 who we unfortunately lost in a freak accident.
