It is with immense pride that I can finally announce my appointment to the Buxton board

When we looked to re-brand, Buxton Real Estate Group were the stand-out

I spent a lot of time with the Buxton board, particularly Mark Earle and Marcus Williams They knew my values and my morals, they knew my team, they were loquacious and inquisitive And they were very much open to being progressive leaders in real estate, particularly around equality

Early in our conversations, they asked me to consider joining their board I considered this proposal very carefully I wanted to understand the lay of the land I was apprehensive about being a Board Member As much as it’s wonderful to have the title, I was always going to take the responsibility for the role very seriously

Already I can see real strength in this union Our purpose and values align We know we have our gaps We’re still learning about each other but there’s a wonderful synergy that we have as a collective, which is shining through

I wouldn’t be able to give the time required to this important position if it wasn’t for my team Their support allows me to share my time between both roles

And more importantly, to my wonderful husband, David, thank you for your unwavering support

I started in commercial real estate 15 years ago Initially, I was brought in for my marketing and creative skills to help launch a new website I got bitten by the real estate bug and it grew from there After 5 years in commercial, I transitioned across to residential real estate and haven't looked back

Being able to continually shine a light on the work done ‘back of house’, there are a lot of people involved in the journey of selling a home Traditionally only a couple of people get recognition for it We’re fostering a culture where everyone is recognised for their part

When I was in my early 20’s living in London I used to babysit for Bryan Ferry CBE from the band Roxy Music

I live Bayside in Melbourne and do a combination of commuting and staying on the Peninsula during the week I love the energy of the city and all it has to offer and regular swims at Hampton Beach However, I am fortunate to experience the unique beauty of Flinders during the week – I get the best of both worlds!

I work in a team Not one single initiative is solo My highlight was helping facilitate a recent brand change that the Business Support Services delivered on time and under budget This was a massive accomplishment that had so many moving parts Our wonderful cohesive team was able to execute the change whilst still supporting the day-to-day operations of the business We’re proud of what we achieved

I love being at home, spending time with my family and friends and wining and dining with my gorgeous husband
