COMMUNICATIONS AND NEW COURSES

HAPPY

Fall

FROM THE TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT TEAM! We are pleased to share the November, and December 2023 Training Courses and Calendars.

COMPETENCY CONFLICT MANAGEMENT

This course will discuss skills that can help resolve differences in a healthy way that build stronger, more rewarding relationships. Conflict is a normal part of any healthy relationship. After all, two people can’t be expected to agree on everything, all the time. The key is to learn how to resolve conflict in a healthy way. When conflict is mismanaged, it can cause great harm to a relationship, but when handled in a respectful, positive way, conflict provides an opportunity to strengthen the bond between people.

UNCONSCIOUS BIAS

Unconscious bias training is designed to raise awareness about hidden biases that people may hold, which can influence their judgments and decisions.

MANAGING DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS

This course will provide tips and tools to manage important but sometimes uncomfortable dialogue. We all tend to put off difficult conversations because of the intensity and complexity of emotions they create. Fear of how people will react and whether you will be able to handle their reactions can make us all reluctant to raise an issue face to face. You may even be concerned that you will not be supported or empowered to take steps to address sensitive issues. By adopting the right approach you will be able maximize your ability to manage the conversation effectively and steer it to a successful conclusion.

NEW OFFERINGS

This training aims to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization by helping employees recognize and address biases.

ADAPTIVE MINDSET

This course will discuss themes and traits of an adaptive mindset and tools to help make moving from a "fixed " to a "growth mindset" more feasible. An adaptive mindset responds well to change. It embraces challenges as opportunities to innovate and improve. Research shows that people who model adaptive mindsets build teams and environments that react positively to change, making the most of the opportunities it brings.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

This course will evaluate and discuss emotional intelligence themes necessary for professional and intrapersonal success.

RESILIENCE The focus of this course is to provide tools and tips for managing adversity in the workplace and encouraging the ability to "bounce back " in any professional situation.

INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION This course will explore the potential hindrances to effective interpersonal communication and provide tools and themes to improve and enhance communication within a team or group.
