«During the pandemic, we have had a telephone support line where we can speak to psychologists if we want to. I have colleagues who are very down. The changes at work and the fear are quite overwhelming. I know of doctors too who have felt the need for psychological support, especially with the concern about variants. In my thirty-five years as a nurse, the nearest I have come to this is hiv. When it started I had just qualified and the fear was setting in, but with hiv the possibility of getting infected was much less».
