Special Architectural Displays In Building Centers

Fountain has a paid promotion program which includes a special archi- tectural display in building centers frequented by architects and a service which delivers literature and suggests applications to architectural offices. Homeowners who are attracted to l,am-Loc Pecky Cedar at various home and decorator shows are taken on tours to see the way the product can be used. A program of plant visitations is scheduled for contractors who tour the laminating facilities individually or in groups with their lumber dealer. Dealers have a standing invitation to bring their contractors in any time. School groups and architectural students are also invited to make the olant tour.

This promotional effort has added up to a wide and grow- ing demand for Lam-Loc Pecky Cedar, which was once a waste product. It shows what can be accomplished when all marketing efforts are integrated and weli directed to a designated end.

W. Floyd Lovelace of West Los Angeles has been named to head the executive board of the 1962 Los Angeles Home lhgy, it has been announced by managing dlector Carl F. Kraatz.

I- ovelace, residential sales manager for the Dept. of Water and Power, was elected to the presidencv of the-17th annual construction inclustries exposifion bv the board.
