California Lumber Merchant Dear Mr. May:

The August issue of Orange County Illustrated, now on the stands, carries an article by Steve Freeman.

The article: H onkg-T onk Train Bluee, A Requiem To Meal,e Lux. As the title should clearly indicate, it has absolutely nothing to do with the lumber industry.

Thought you might be interested.

Dear Ole, Thought you would get a kick out of the enclosed letter from the Mount Kenya Safari Club in East Africa. While sittins out in (Club vice-president) Ray Ryan's pordr on the slopes of Mt. Kenya on my trip, I rnentioned that while his membership list included Winston Churchill, President Lyndon Johnson and other notalbles-it was rurt complete beca, use no "Carlows" were listed! Ray laughdngly said that he would ta^ke care of that.

He did!

Actually, Kenya is a lumbermen's paradise. Mt. Kenya is a virg:in timber area. Hunting and ffshing thers ma,kes anything in the states look sad.

Regards, Jack Carlow Carlow Company Los Angeles, Calif.
