Hcrl D. Crockett HelPs Scrve Three Drowning Men
A news story in "The Inyo Register," published at Bishop, California, brief ly relates a story of heroism on the part of a rvell known Southern California lumberman.
According to this story three men' H' G' Donnell, Frank Marino and Jack Zukie went out in a boat on Grant Lake. The boat capsized, the weather was cold, the rvaterivas icy, and none of the three could srvim. The paper said they would have been lost in a ferv minutes' Harl D. Crockett and John W. Givens were on the lake in another boat, and they made a quick and ,clever rescue of the imperiled men.
Mr. Crockett is with Carl Baugh, and is well kno'il,n as Assistant Deputy State Snark of HooHoo in California.
