E. J. Stanton Openr lmportant Branch ln Sacramento
Leroy J. Stanton announces that E. J. Stanton & Son has just opened a very important business branch in Sacramento, in the shape of a big lumber concentration yard.
They have leased eight acres of land from the Heffernan Supply Company in that city, and adjacent to the modern planing mill of that concern. They rvill use the facilities of tl-ris mill for processing and preparing their lumber for the market, and will establish on the acreage mentioned a large lumber storage yard. Lumber will be brought in from many small sawmills in the Pine lumber territory above Sacramento, and rvill be piled, dried, processed and shipped clirectly from this nslv yard to Stanton customers all over the country, and principally in the East.
For a great many years Stanton has been bringing such lumber all the rvay to their Los Angeles plant for seasoning and processing. From norv on they rvill save a great deal on freighting and handling. Most of the lumber that rvill come to the Sacramento branch will be Pondersosa Pine, but a certain amount of Fir dimension n ill also be handled from the same mills.
Diamond Match Announces New Managers and New Yards
The Diamond Match Company through Joseph E. Duffey, vice president in charge of timber and lumber operations, announces that it has added two lumber yards to its California holdings, making a total ol 69 in this territory. The neu' yards are those of the Keyes Lumber Company, at Keyes, and the Sullivan & Larsen Lumber Yard at Rio Vista. Orland Weis is the new manager at Keyes. Mr. Duffey also makes the following personnel announcements: J. O. Parrish, former sales manager of the Ochoco Lumber Company, at Prineville, Oregon, has been made California manager of yards with offices at Chico. Patrick H. Jackson is made nerv Northr,vestern manager, with offices in Spokane, Washington. He formerly managed the J. F. Sharpe Lumber Company at Yreka, California.

Paul has been associated with the wholesale lumber business in Los Angeles for many years, and is rvell known to the trade. lle was with E. U. Wheelock. Inc.. Los Angeles, for twenty years, and sold out his interests in that firm to go in business for himself.

Three of the four flooring plants of the Bradley Lumber Company plant at Warren, Arkansas, are back in operation, and the {ourth soon will be. Ten of the former eighteen dry kilns are back in operation' Other units of the storm ancl fire-struck plant are rapidly nearing completion.
