The 89th Dubs, Ltd. tournament and get-together was held February 17 at the Olympic Country Club. Wayne Rawlings, San Francisco plywood wholesaler, was spollsor of the wellattended event. Some 35 Dubs members ancl guests took a fast 18 on the beautiful lake course and then moved incloors to complete the tournament over libations ancl an excellent banquet.

George Monnier registered the low gross for the touruament, and followingare the net score winners for the day (no figures because sornebotly made off with the score sheet . . his score was that bad?): Jim Rossman, Rill Bonnell, Ben Ward, John Jenswolcl, Fred Ziese, Paul Gaboury, Bob Cheim, Tom Gray, Bill Johnson, \\rendell Paclttette, Bill Ingrarl and Bucl Hubbarcl.

Andy Jones Joins Herb Meier

Andy Jones, formerly rvith Dant & Russeil Sales. Los Angeles, has joined the Herb Meier Lumber Co., rvholesale clistributing firm, Arcadia, and r,vill handle southern corlntv sales, according to Herb Meier, owner of the concern.

Andy rvas raised in the sawmill country up Portland, Oregon, rvay and follor,ving his discharge from the service at the close of World War II, enterecl the production end of the business at the mill level. Nine years ago he joined the sales staff of Dant & Russell in Portland, an<l five years ago rvas transferred to Los Angeles to the sales clepartment nnder Art Neth. Eorle Bender Joins Lomon

Earle Bender (left), long-time Pacific Coast lumberman, joined the sales staff of Lamon Lumber Company on February 27, announce Fred Lamon and his son Ralph. Bender will headquarter in the firm's San Francisco offices and will be servicing the retail dealers in the Sacramento Valley region and the San Francisco Bay area. In addition to working with Fred and Ralph Lamon, Earl will once again have the opportunity of teaming up with Gordon Saunders of the I-amon sales staff, who at one time was associated with Bender in the wholesale lumber business.

Bender's lumber experience includes both extensive sawmill and sales know-how. He at one time worked for several Northern California and Oregon sawmills and, after World War II, he operated his own wholesale lumber business for five years. For the past two years Bender had been in charge of Northern California sales for Pacific Western Lumber Company in Palo Alto.
