Cedar closets will be spotlighted in a trade journal advertising program soon to be launched by the Aromatic Red Cedar Closet Lining Manufacturers Association. Purpose of the program is to build big-volume sales of arornatic red cedar closet lining for lumber dealers. Targets of the industry's advertising will be architects, builders and contractors to include cedarlined closets in new homes. The advertisements point out that cedar lined closets "add colorful eye-appeal and fragrance" to closets. "They attract buyers and sell homes faster. In most original construction, home builders report that installation of aromatic red cedarlined closets add little or no additional costs .yet add at least $100 in appraisal value."
Mqrtens Joins Mqrfin in lumber Sqles
Orval Paul, general manager of The Martin Brothers Box Company wholesale lumber division, announces that Allen N{artens has joined the wholesale sales division. He started his lumber career at the mill level in Cloverdale and came south following World War II. He spent seven years in the U. S. Marine Corps in the Pacific area island hopping from Australia to Japan. He formerly was employed by the Ed Fountain Lumber Company, Los Angeles, where he spent six years selling lumber to the dealer trade. According to George Myers, sales manager for Martin Box Company, Allen will cover Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Imperial counties calling on the trade.
