Did you ever look overthe recortls anrl note the many interesting happenings-and events -that occurred during the month of JanuarY????

Well-I'll list just afew things that did take place during the past, in addition to the various Bowl Football Games. For instance, the guy that made horsemenfamous, Paul Revere, was born in January. Also CaPtain John Smith, Alexander Hamilton, John Hancock, Beniamin Franklin, Daniel Webster, William McKinley and "F.D.R."

General "Stonewall" Jackson and General Douglas MacArthur both saw the light of day during this first month of the year. However; the outstanding historical event for the Great State of California took place in January 1848, when Gold was discovered and the "big rush" started for the Pacific Coast.

This is the time of Year for resolutions-so we are going to resolve to look forwardinstead of backward. . With this thought in mind we are going to expand our extensive mill contacts so that we will be in a position to furnish all the needs of our customers in an efficient manner. We will look toward the future and the stabilization ofthelumber market with confidence. So"A Happy and Prosperous New Year to You A11."
