The Assistant Secretary of Labor announced in the Federal Reeister on August 23, that the Arizona pTan is being considered. It was available for inspection in Washington, San Francisco and the Division of Occupational Safetv and Health. l60l W. Jeffbrson, Phoenil until September 24, 1974.
An outstanding feature of the Arizona Plan pertains to onsite consultations at the request of the employers.
Under the amendments made this year to the Arizona Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1972, ihe Division of Occupational Safetv and Health will conduct on-site -consultations for employers with no citations being tssueo.
Any employer who wishes to avail himself of this consultation service may request it in writing from the Division oT Occupational Safety and Health. The request will be answered and a date set for the consultation. This is an excellent opportunity for employers.

Don Partyka has assumed management of United Buildine Centers at Plentywood. Former mfnager Gene Alsberg has been transferred to management of a new UBC yard at Winona, Minn.
Emmett Anderson is temporarilv in charge of Peterson Lumber Cb.. Heli:na.
Herb Ewald has been named as sales manager for Affiliated Supply Co., Missoula.
Arizona has adopted national standards for general industry and construcuon.
The standards adopted by Arizona are those published in the Federal Register as of November 22, 1912.
The association held its first'ouarter board of directors meeting in Scottsdale, September I l.
Much of the discussion at the meetins centered around the housins situationl President Al Schechter ai'pointed a Housing Action Committee. They are: Dean Drake, chairman; Sam Hauert. Charles Mann, Ray Lopp, Bob Silvey, Charles Ray, John King,_Bart Palmer.
This committee is working with Burton Barr, Majority leader of t'he Arizona House, in drafting bills to relieve the housing situation in Arizona. These will be introduced in the next session of the Legislature.
