Porta-Platform meets updated OSHA standards. It has a larger deck area allowing space for two men and tools and is made from structural tubing, heavy duty diamond deck plate with 4" toe boards on all sides. The safety chain provided fastens unit to fork lift truck carriage. The unit is painted alert yellow. Non-Wood Level

The first tradesman's level using urethane and aluminum instead of wood has been introduced by Pro Products Co.

Called the Pro "Supreme" series, it features an l-beam of heavy gauge, tempered aluminum encased in very hard, dense urethane which comes from the patented process with the look of wood but none of its disadvantages.

It cannot absorb moisture and warp; it will not splinter or nick or stick to wet mortar and concrete.

Available in 48",42" and 24" lengths, the longer models have hand holes; the 24" size has two recesses, and all have hanging holes for convenient storage. All models contain four leveling, pyrex vials sensitive to within 35' plus or minus 5' per lll0" bubble movement and two plumbing vials sensitive to within 43' plus or minus 4' per lf 10" bubble movement.

The aluminum I-beam provides enduring parallel edges and corners, all precision ground and machine finished, ends are orotected bv shock-absorbine plastic caps permanently molded to thi level.

Shed Anchoring Kit

A utility shed anchoring kit, from the A. B. Chance Co., protects small storage sheds against wind damage.

It consists oi sturdy steel, screw-type earth anchors that are sunk deep into the ground next to the storage shed. Aircraft cables go over the top of the shed and connect to the anchors to prevent tipping or flexing of the shed during high wind conditions.

New Hearin Paneling

Hearin Div. of DG Shelter Products has a new line of plywood paneling specifically designed to appeal to mobile home and RV manufacturers, distributors and do-it-yourselfers.

Named the Independence Series, it uses Hearin's "triple-print and register" rotogravure printing process which consistently produces wood grain reproductions so accurately that in a side-byside comparison, it is difficult to detect the differ-ence between the Hearin panel and the actual hardwood specie.

Available in four exciting color/tones the new line is designed to provide users with a high quality substitute for hardwood paneling at a sizeable savings in cost.

New Shower Drain

Genova. Inc. has a new 2" shower drain made of noncorrosive vinyl (pvc), desiened for residential and commercial (drain, waste and vent) systems.

They come with 2" solvent weld joint outlets, are preassembled, lightweight units which feature quick on-the-job installation.

Steel & Polyurethane Door

A residential door, manufactured of steel reinforced structural foam (polyurethane) claims to be dimensionally more stable than wood.

Presently manufactured in a golden walnut finish by Grandor Corp. a subsidiary of Buildix, Inc., it looks'and feels just like luxurious hardwood. It comes complete with built-in hardware and hinges so that it can be easily and quickly installed.

Believed to be the first of its kind on the market, the structural foam door has all the desirable characteristics of wood but none ofthe drawbacks such as swelli-ng due to humidity, warping, crack or linish deterioration. It is resistant to stains and can be varnished or refinished.

Initially, the door will be available in two stylesin a louvre model with raised panels and in a model of all raised panels.
