NAWLA president Bill Baugh described the times as mixed, not good, not bad, and counseled members to take advantage of the services and help NAWLA provides its membership.
Western manager "Pete" Niebling reported on the successful Banff, Canada convention, using a video tape presentation (Don't bother to ask him if the machine worked at each of their meetings).
Denver lumberman Dick Gittings, Gittings Lumber Co., chairman of the government affairs committee, reported on the revitalization of the committee and the work being done to help industry live with government. He urged all to be active with personal and letter writing contacts with their elected representatives and explained that NAWLA would back up these contacts with all the needed information.
Next year's meeting will be The Homestead, Hot Springs, Va., with the 7976 conclave set for Colorado's Broadmoor Hotel.
