The opening of a new hardwood yard represents a major step forward for both the four year old Swaner Hardwood Co. and its founder, Keith Swaner.
Stocked with 2r/z million feet of hardwood, and stafied by a crew of thirteen, it is a long way from the small office in which the firm started. By the end of the first year, the firm had added Charles Jordan to its fledgling sales force and John W. Kirby as credit manager. Belore long they were joined by Michael Murphy, specializing in plywoods. A number of trucks have been added over the years, pickups, one and two ton, to make sure they could give customers the best kind of service.
