Form Of The Future

PolySteel Forms, lightweight blocks of polystyrene said to create walls 507o stronger than conventional methods, are now available from 3.10 Insulated Forms.

Forms resemble large egg cartons composed of polystyrene, an excellent insulator, and have reinforced steel inside for additional support. Contractors install the fonns one on top of the other to create walls, similar to stacking building blocks. Funing srips, attached to the outside of the forms can be used to attach interior drywall or any exterior surface, such as briclq siding and stucco.

Used for above and below grade construction, they decrease the time needed to construct a building, weigh only 5 lbs. each, can be easily moved and lifted into place, cut to fit spaces with just a hand saw, and don't have to be removed once the concrete is poured.

Each fomr has a tongue and groove edge which helps it interlock tightty with other forms. The tight seal results in a clean, dust-free environment inside the building. The heavily insulated walls reportedly produce a soundproof environment, won't settle or crack, and are stronger than typical walls despite using 25-507o less concrete.

Foiled Cabinetry

A new foil wrapped door style has been added to Aristokraft's traditional line of cabinery.

The Cascade series combines the design appeal of a full-overlay door style with the crisp, clean and popular white thennofoil finish. The subtle, textured surface hides fingerprints and re,portedly is easy to clean.

Details of the squiue door design include radiused inside comers with a raised center panel. Decorative brassplated lnobs are standard.

The cabinet face frame is solid maple in a white satin paint" while its interior features the Aristex light woodgrain laminate.

Triple Bowl

A new triple bowl, solid surface Swanstone kitchen sink is now available from Swan Corp.

Two large bowls and a smaller center bowl expand the uses of the sink, while the smaller bowl also helps conserve water due to its shallow 7-112" depth. The larger bowls are 9" deep.
