Mel Hirsch, Dolan Building Materials Co., Sacramento, is back on the job after an enforced absence caused by a broken leg.
Francis U. Mandis, former salesman for Paramino Lumber Co., San Francisco, is now working for the Richmond Shipbuilding Co.
Roy Stanton, E. J. Stanton & Son, Los Angeles, attended the meeting of the hardwood lumber distribution yard operators in Chicago after which he spent a few weeks calling on the hardwood mills in the South.
Fred R. Lamon, Lamon-Bonnington Co., San Francisco, spent two weeks in the Northwest, where he called on his firm's sawmill connection.
Robert T. Evju, sales manager for James L. Ifall San Francisco wholesale firm, has been in the Pacific Northwest for the past two weeks.
John II. Tyeon, Wholesale Lumber Distributors, fnc., Oakland, is spending three weeks in the Pacific Northwest on business.
Ed Bisss was in Los Angeles where he called on a number of his old friends in the lumber business.

Bob Raymer, asst. sales manager, Yosemite Sugar Pine Lumber Co., Merced Falls, Calif. has resigned and is awaiting a call for War Training Service.
Earle Sanborn is now with the BaIr Lumber Co. at Whittier. He was formerly with E. K. Wood Lumber Co., Los Angeles.
Stanley M. Long, member of the office staf of MacDonald & Ilarrington, San Francisco, is a cadet in the Army Air Corps.
R. F. (Bob) Fleming of Hallinan Mackin Co., San Francisco, reported January 25 for basic training in the Army. D. R. Smith, salesman for this concern, also entered the Army.
