He served two years in Berlin, Germany, where he coached American High School baseball and basketball teams. In 1962 he returned to the University of Redlands and graduated in 1964 with a major in business administration and a minor in physical eduea. tion.

Ed began his lumber career with Weyerhaeuser in 1964 when they sent him to Tacoma, Wash., to participate in their wood products sales training program. After successfully completing a thorough course in mill and product orientation, he was given a sales territory in Los Angeles. In 1966, he assumed Weyerhaeuser's largest volume territory in So. Calif. and in February 1967 was named manager of all cargo lumber sales in So. Calif.

Ed is happily married to a lovely gal named Sandy and his hobbies are two lit. tle girls named Laura, age five, and Carol, age three. They currently live in Gardena but are looking forward to moving closer to Fremont when their new home is completed near Whittier.

Redwood Council's Annuot

The Redwood Region Conservation Council has re.elected Bernard Z. Agrons, vice president of the Rockport Redwood Co., as president at its recent annual meeting held in Santa Rosa, Calif.

J. E. Pickett of the Cal-Pacific Redwood Co. continues as vice president. C. Robert Barnum was elected treasurer.

The council, which devotes its energies to the wise and multiple use of the re. gion's forest resource, conducted a day long meeting on various conservation challenges and practices. It's tree farm committee took action to conduct a comprehensive re-inspection program of all regional tree farms. Also to develop an educational service for its members highlighting informational and professional assistance available for the proper management of their timberlands.
