Redwood Memoriol Grove Esrqblished

HE ESTABLISHMENT ofa HooHoo Redwood Memorial Grove honoring the late Seer of the House of Ancients, C. D. LeMaster, and other HooHoo Immortals, became a reality last month when the International fraternity presented the Save The Redwoods League with an initial payment of $620. It represented voluntary donations from scores of individuals and clubs throuehout the 50 states.

The initial down payment represents \O/o ol the International's share of the Memorial Grove purchase price of $6,200 which is one-hal{ the total cost of the I0 acre Grove in the Prairie Creek area in Humboldt County, some 80 miles north o{ Eureka, Calif. The other half of the purchase price will be matched by the State of California. The Hoo-Hoo Memorial Grove then will become a permanent part of the park system, maintained and protected by that department.

Over the years, large blocks of old growth and second growth lands have been stateside by commercial timber operators and individuals for just such purposes as the Hoo-Hoo Memorial Grove.

Donations should be made payable to the Hoo-Hoo Memorial Fund and sent directly to the International Headquarters at 16l West Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, Wisc. 53203. All remittances will be acknowledged.
