Kitchen/Bath Cabinet Push

The National Kitchen Cabinet Association has expanded its efforts to promote certified kitchen and bathroom cabinets in 1976.

In addition to continuing its newspaper publicity program, NKCA will develop broadcast material for television and expand its "Kitchen and Bath Planning" supplement materials for newspaper and dealer advertising managers.

Homeowners are being advised that kitchen and vanity cabinets bearing the NKCA certification seal have been tested for compliance with the A 161.1 standard of the American National Standards Institute. This standard establishes minimum construction and performance criteria to assure satisfactory performance of the cabinets under conditions normally found in kitchens and bathrooms.

Many cities and towns have courses on wood shop, carpentry, house repair and maintenance, electrical, plumbing and the like available through their adult education, continuing education and night school programs.
