Double Security Lockset

The Merchant Magazlne ing,a low-end grade which develops during normal production of strip flooring. The grade of wood is ideal, according to the company, to produce the desired rusticity in the end product. Grain cathedrals, knots, and burls become features once the softer wood is brushed away.

New Innovative Look Panel

A new pine veneered plywood wall paneling with an innovative look has just been introduced by GeorgiaPacific Corp.

Called OL'Savannah, the new interior panel resembles old pine boards that have been restored and refinished.

The newest addition to the beautiful line of Bel-Air hand-carved entry doors is the elegant Castillo, which comes in either antique or smooth dark walnut finishes.

Standard size is 36" x 80" x l-lr", but a large inventory of under and oversized doors is also available.

14' RR Doors

Chicago Railway Equipment Co., an Evans Products Co., has l4', sliding and leverless plug doors, new additions to their Creco door line.

The first of the new doors, installed on Evans Products' Side/Slider car. allows half of the entire car, almost 25' to be opened for bulk loading and unloading.

The doors glide open and shut easily due to the roller bearings that operate the door. The patented Creco automatic door stop and lock assures that in-use vibration will not put undue strain on the sliding door locking mechanism and other mechanical parls, thc firm claims.

New "Natural" Ceilings

To capitalize on the expanding popularity of the "natural look" in interior decoration, Armstrong has introduced two new Trendsetter ceiling: Dark Wood Grain Plank and Plank 'n Plaster.

Both ceilings are part of what the

Harloc Products has a new double security lockset that combines a keyin-knob entry door lockset and a rugged deadbolt into a single TwinPak visual package.

It makes it easy for anyone to purchase and install two-lock security for both new doors and replacement. For replacement installation the keyin-knob lockset will fit previously bored doors so that it is only necessary to bore for the deadbolt.

The new double security lockset Twin-Pak is available in all Pacemaker knob designs and all finishes. Choice of single or double cylinder deadbolts with 5/8" (standard) or 1" throws. Bolts have hardened steel hacksawproof inserts. Double cylinder models have concealed holding screws when locked ideal for glass-paned doors.

Low cost decorative double escutcheons that combine both locks into a single handsome unit are available.

Cabln Strip Wood Flooring

The proverbial "silk purse" concept is apparent in new distressed, prefinished Cabin Strip oak flooring introduced by Memphis Hardwood Flooring Co.

Made from standard 314" x 2-1-4" random-length strips, Cabin Strip features heavy side bevels, wirebrush surface distressing and dark antique brown prefinishing. It installs like any strip flooring, direct onto board or plywood subfloors, over concrete with screeds and even over old wood floors.

Complementing its nostalgic finish is a new groove treatment that also imparts a "worn-aged" look. Standard l6" groove centers allow for easy panel stacking and matching without extra fitting.

Portable Aussie Sawmill

The "Forestmil" portable sawmill is a self-contained unit engineered to cut the hardest wood, and the unit can be easily dismantled to move to a new location. Manufactured by MacQuarrie Industries Pty. Ltd., it is powered by either diesel, gas or electric. The standard machine cuts timber from logs of any diameter, and the timber produced is up to 12" x 6" x 18'.

Larger machines are also available. It can be safely operated by two men. The logs remain stationary while the saw moves over them on a parallel course. Operated by diesel or electric power, it is capable of producing 1000 b.f. of sawed timber an hour from large diameter logs.

For maximum protection, the sawmill is used to cut large flitches for resawing into boards and small pieces on a work bench.
