After a year's absence, long-time lumberman Max Barnette has returned to Independent Building Materials Co. as general manager of the Compton, Calif. redwood firm, a position he held 1961-65. The appointment was announced by Mrs. Hazel Anderson, IBMC president.

A thirty-year lumberman, Barnette began his career with E. K. W'ood Lumber Co. in 1935, and subsequentJy held sales positions with Rockport Redwood for eight years and Hollow Tree Redwood for nine vears.
