During our summer break, just like every year the U.S. International Kuo Shu Championship Tournament took place. For decades now we, as a school, have insisted on taking part in this great event every year in order to compete on an international level. This year, Grandmaster Huang, the responsible organiser and President of the World Kuoshu Federation, honoured me with an award in person for that. In the world of the traditional martial arts, tournaments are mostly about gathering, friendship and the possibility to compete with the most hard-working people of the scene in full-or light-contact, as well as hand and weapon forms.
