In the modern age, disinformation ravages the masses rampantly Mountains of deceit and lies bury the essential truths, and the people of our nation only take in what lies before them without a second thought What the masses once considered truths are now being doubted by those unfortunate enough to be fooled by these lies During times such as ours, where the truth is necessary to prevail, it is imperative that we, students the future citizens wellequipped for the next modern society must ensure that the truth wins
Disinformation is a tool commonly used by the desperate or with high authority Whether it is to facade less-than-pleasant details or a deliberate attempt to distort the masses’ perception of current events, they all share a common goal to deceive. Regardless of attempts to combat disinformation, its rampancy never ceases to falter It is a highly effective weapon in which its effects know no bounds
In recent years, it has seen more use, especially in politics at the national level Common usages include attempts to rewrite and distort our nation’s history or to present false stories to rile up the masses. Going off by the provided statistic, we can conclude that a majority of Filipinos are vulnerable to disinformation One solution our government should look into is improving the quality of education. Sonnet 001 – La Muerte de Felicia

Down in this hall, I see her there, right there!
A woman stands, bloodied in shades of red, Her breathless, cold groans and staggering treads, Such scene would only leave one in despair!
What life she had waned, drained ‘till she was bare Her arms weak and flail, her eyes gray and dead, She limps, her consciousness hanging by a thread Why, of all, she, to be beyond repair?

She raged, “God, why hath thou fury struck me?! I, Felicia Thorne, refuse such mockery!”
Yet, she fell, only seconds left ‘till death, With the last she had in her, she’d decree, “I’ll crawl from hell and show you my fury!”
Death then takes her, gone with her last dying breath

RANDOM MUSINGS
ByKanishaDumlaoBy the time I rolled myself out of bed, I thought of a rough day ahead My breakfast I couldn’t even eat, I quietly sat in the backseat
How is school so tiring?
While everyone else seems to be enjoying? But as I walked to the classroom, I knew I had to push through I could always ask for help, and there was a lot I had to do
The teacher lectures while I think more of my parent's dreams Such high expectations, oh I was only just a teen
“Will they beam with pride?” was a thought I always dwelled So I had to study well, for only time could ever tell
And sometimes I wished I was popular and pretty, just wandering through random parts of the city But I know I am the best version of me Unique, ecstatic, and most of all, full of glee
I know there’s so much more to be done But I hope I have learned as much as I can, For I will study and have fun, And that was a promise to be done
LOSTINWONDERLAND

Down the rabbit hole we tumbled, and together we fell You squeezed my hand three times, but then we got dazed in a spell
Because winding paths to tea parties, and steering away from the jabberwocky's lair, turned to steering away from each other, and all that we ever meant
Now the hearts on my cheek turned to patterns of disbelief Because I was foolish to ever think, that you would stay here with me
For we found solace in wonderland, but we got lost just as quick We pretended it could last forever; Pure madness is what this is
8 hours, 480 minutes, 28,800 seconds of listening to long hours of discussions
Exhausting, it may seem, but we must fulfill our dream of becoming individuals that gleam
For school is an inception of education, that nurtures us the future generation It is where we are taught how to read, write, and correct our wrongs into what is right

This is where we also create friendships, and capture memories that last for a lifetime We may often deal with hardships, but still manage to cope every time Because despite all this, we still manage to smile
And with consistent determination, we will accomplish our aspiration We will achieve our dreams, and will not be astray Our tomorrow's success will begin with today

By ArbeterHere, I lie on concave shores, Waiting, biding such a bore Shall I remain until time becomes been? How long shall I wait for this to be seen?
My tales have reached many, But yet I remain unheard by plenty I remain here, only watching time’s tour, Soon to be forgotten as a relic of yore,
