87TH FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY GOES ONLINE

On September 10 of 2021, Tay Tung celebrated its 87 years of excellence with an opening program followed by a community Zumba from the MAPEH Department. The whole event was made possible by students and teachers involved from different grade levels.

The school's virtual loyalty month's theme this school year is Metamorphosis: Living the Tay Tung Spirit in the Digital Age, in which the school, together with the different organizing bodies such as the Student Council Organization (SCO) continued its storied tradition of providing programs and activities catered to the Taytungian community.

The program started with an opening prayer led by the Tay Tung Voices and the singing of the national anthem, adding to that are the astounding messages from the Executive President of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Alfonso Tan, and the school's Chinese subject area coordinator, Ms. Charmaine Q. So. Students and teachers were serenaded with harmonies by Mr. Gelkoff Calmerin

Ms. Patricia Anne Gayte, Ms. Angelene Cajolo, Camille Garingalao, and Johnray Castillier as they sang the 87th celebration theme song. After that amusing performance, pupils from Grades 1 through 12 were encouraged to participate in a Kahoot game about Tay Tung to showcase their knowledge and to learn more about the school.

After those fun activities, school principal Engr. Philip P. Carpina officially opened the virtual loyalty month with his short message, the program soon proceeded with the community Zumba with further announcements of upcoming activities, and ended with the singing of the alma mater song.

The Taytungian spirit has become imprinted in each one of their students for 87 years.

Despite the pandemic, the never-ending development of Tay Tung continues, from the raucous audiences inside the Po Hang Gym to the many perspectives and responses to the numerous videos released online.

Last September 10, 2021, BTTHS celebrated its 87th founding anniversary with the theme, Metamorphosis: Living the Tay Tung Spirit in the Digital Age and as part of the celebration for Loyalty Month, Taytungians from Kinder to High School showcased their wonderful talents in the Tay Tung Got Talent.

The contest was divided into four categories which are: kindergarten, level 1, level 2, and level 3, with a total of 44 students registered, submitting their entries for the competition.

As the students showcase their unique talents - dancing, singing, and poetry, the judges then select the top 5 finalists and pick this year’s grand champions of each category.

With a total of 5 finalists per category, the grand champion for the Kinder level is no other than Eya Annika Flores of Pre-K Lychee, then the hailed grand champion of the Level 1 category is Klein Abdiel Torres of grade 3 – Hyacinth, for the Level 2 category is Matthea Given Efenio and Jilian Krishna De La Cruz of grade 6 – Anthurium, and the grand champion for the Level 3 category is Kaley Aurora Pinto of grade 12 – Altair.

For the prizes, all registered participants received a certificate of participation, while the 16 finalists received cash prizes.

A Virtual Club Orientation was held on the school's official YouTube page led

by Mrs. Maureen Mejica, the Student Development Head. In this event, various clubs presented each of their purposes and specialties as a mode of promoting themselves to gain new and fresh members to their organizations.

Taytungians were filled with anticipation to see what each club had prepared for them.

Taytungian educators participate in a month-long training of INSET 2021 for them to elevate their flexibility and innovation in online education with INFLEX in preparation for School Year 2021-2022. The overall INSET training aims to equip and train Taytungian teachers with the knowledge and skills needed for the virtual classes as INFLEX means to bend and become curved individuals.

The INSET 2021 training was created by the Academic Council and participated by trainers, speakers, and participants who are all teachers of the Bacolod Tay Tung High School.

It culminates how instructors and students adjust to the difficulties posed by the pandemic and the new normal of education and how they use the current edtech tools to enhance the online learning which is the new normal of education and how they use the current

edtech tools to enhance the online learning experience. At the same time, it implies that they are progressing toward bettering the education for the students and going beyond what they have already accomplished.

As stated by Sir Lander Leonillo, lead trainer and resource speaker of the said training, “I was assigned as lead trainer and resource speaker for several sessions, my experiences were amazing and at the same time challenging because I had to prepare my materials ahead of time in order to deliver comprehensive ideas to my fellow teachers and trainers. It is fulfilling to see them learn and apply what they have learned from the workshops. Working with my fellow teachers is also one of the best experiences because it helped us create better and stronger social relationships. And as the Dalai Lama once said, ‘Share your knowledge. It’s a way to achieve immortality. ”

Taytungians Open Up in

BABANGON TAYO: A Taytungian Special

by Noelle Apuhin The BTTHS Student Council Organization had announced on their official Facebook page last July 7 a special series called "Babangon TAYO: A Taytungian Special" wherein different teachers interview 9 students via online meetings about how they were able to survive last school year's online classes amidst countless struggles.

Volunteers from The Student Council Organization packed a total of 191 Love Bags which will be sent to the different areas in Marawi to help them continue their learning despite this pandemic, last August 20, 2021.

'Lovebags' is a project wherein children from far-away places around the country are given school and hygiene kits. This seeks to provide help to children who require supplies to continue their education.

This project is a helping hand for the children’s future through the securing of the learning materials that they will be using for their

education.

Each bag contains complete school supplies and hygiene kits that were packed by the TayTungian Volunteers together with effort and love. They reached a total of 191 Lovebags, and these will be distributed later on. The BTTHS Student Council has been in partnership with the NVC foundation since 2017 with their rehabilitation of Marawi and has continued to support the organization’s programs and activities.

Through these Lovebags, Tay Tung would like to help in securing these children's future.

Babangon Tayo. A series of success stories and experiences.

This special series was prepared and delivered by the SCO together with the ESP Department and the Student Formation Office.

Furthermore, each student had a separate episode of their own and the following are the Taytungians featured in all of the episodes respectively: Ellice Salgado, Miguel Tabura, Francis Lamasan, Erin Agraviador, Jin Magdato, Julianna Jacildo, Lucas Lim, Mark Orian, and the series ended with Paul Chua's final episode. The page had started posting the episodes on July 9 and ended on July 17.

The interviews allowed the 9 Taytungians to share helpful tips and advice for their fellow students struggling with the new normal for education due to the pandemic.

With the teachers' efforts in their corresponding interviews, the series was able to successfully present the students' thoughts and experiences on online classes and the obstacles that came with the new normal just in time before School Year 2021-2022 and a brand-new year of challenges start.

Buwan ng Wika

Masayang nagdiwang ang BTTHS ng kauna-unahang birtwal na buwan ng wika noong Ika-20 ng Agosto 2021 live sa zoom na pinangunahan ng Erya ng Filipino at PLUMA. Napuno ng makukulay at naggagandahang kasuotang Pilipino ang kabuoan ng zoom miting, masayang nakilahok ang mga mag-aaral sa mga palarong pilipino at nanood ng mga masasayang presentasyon na kanilang binuo. Muling namayani ang saya at dating diwa ng Buwan ng Wika ng samasamang nagtanghalian ang mga magaaral sa zoom. Dagdag pa, narito ang talaan ng mga masayang presentasyon ng nga mag-aaral:

Elementary TikTok Challenge:

A Family Affair

The Student Council Organization of Bacolod Tay Tung High School held a family TikTok challenge among elementary students from Grades 1 to 6 last September 23, as a way for our little Tay Tungians to take a break from school works, and at the same time, showcase their talents while creating memorable moments with their family, in line with the 87th Loyalty Month Celebration.

Bacolod Tay Tung High School celebrates their Loyalty Month for School Year 2021-2022 with various programs held online such as the Taytungian Icons and The Battles that were spearheaded by the Student Council Organization during the weeks of September.

The famous school pageant comes back with a theme “A Taytungian for the Digital Age” with one female and male representative from each batch from Grades 7 to 12 wherein they partake in different categories and activities to be crowned as this year’s Taytungian Icons.

Furthermore, each category had special awards for male and female participants.

Such categories are: Best in Beauty Shot, Best in Introduction Speech, and Best in Interview.

On September 14, the Coronation Day of Taytungian Icons was held via YouTube livestream naming this year’s awaited Taytungian Icon champions were the Grade 12's Nill Manahan and the Grade 11's Camille Garingalao. Followed by the 2nd runner ups for both male and female categories were Joachim Chuatico and Anika Esmeralda, 1st runner ups were Tyrone Yao and Beyonce Tan.

The winners were determined through the judges’ score, and the Voters’ Choice, with each entry’s trailer posted on the SCO Facebook page by collecting heart and wow reactions on Facebook last September 17.

As soon as the voting closed, each entry’s votes were tallied and were added to their final scores, which were then announced during the program.

On a related topic, The Battles: Around the World did not disappoint. Each grade level performed songs from the 3 artists both local and international.

Trailers for each performance were posted on the SCO’s page wherein they garnered reacts as a part of the criteria called Voters’ Choice. The full performances were livestreamed during the same YouTube stream on September 14.

Towards the end of the stream, the Announcement of Winners for The Battles: Around the World had finally arrived. The Grade 11 were hailed as this year's champions of The Battles: Around the World followed by the Grade 12 who gained 2nd place and The Grade 10 garnered 3rd place. The grade levels were placed as: Grade 7 for 4th, Grade 9 for 5th and Grade 8 for 6th place.

The winners of the Elementary TikTok Challenge are Jellian Bryce Delejero from Cluster A, Sabina Haileigh Vargas from Cluster B, and Kristin Samantha Sevilleno from Cluster C as the first placers; followed by Isaac Gabriel Esleyer from Cluster A, Juliana Antonette Baticos from Cluster B, and Jean Antoinette Ciocon from Cluster C as the second placers; for the 3rd placers, the winners are Danjoe Montalbo and Tian Jun Chen from Cluster A, Veniz Lourrine Pagdato from Cluster B, and Raeleen Fleur Laguna from Cluster C.

TAY TUNG'S OPENING ORIENTATION WEEK for SY 2021-2022!

by Miguel Lorenzo Tabura Bacolod Tay Tung High School once again opens its gates to virtual learning as the students and teachers buckle up for a new school year.

Another chapter of remarkable memories unravels in the book of life at Bacolod City.

Both acquainted and new teachers introduced their respective subjects to the students. They also introduced online etiquette, rules, and guidelines.

Students also got to know their classmates, and that unique, joyous school atmosphere is slowly building. Isn't it interesting to know the things happening next?

Despite the adversities and obstacles created by COVID-19, Tay Tung remains unwavering and marches onward with the primary aim of education.

Last school year was a learning experience for all of us. A whole new process that was difficult to come by. It was a period of adjustment.

Nevertheless, the administration and teachers of Tay Tung took advantage of it to gather information, through feedback and actual experience, so that they can use it to improve the quality of education they can offer.

In addition, Tay Tung also took online learning to the next level with the introduction of the new Tay Tung FLEX application where students can now access the BTTHS moodle site with just the touch of a finger.

"This school year, we wanted it to be more flexible. A flexible experience for everyone, especially the students, as we journey towards the new normal, or better yet, the better normal."

- Engr. Philip Carpina Bacolod Tay Tung's principal Engr. Philip Carpina spearheaded the development of the TayTung FLEX app, which envelops students to access the school's learning materials. It is only exclusive to Tay Tungians. "It also may be the first and even the only one in Negros, to boost even more the morale of our students," he added.

Over time, we Taytungians became stronger. We constantly improve ourselves during this ongoing pandemic. As long as we have that unbending will to learn and to pursue education, I guarantee this pandemic will not hinder our development.

Fellow students, we are the future of our nation.

Teachers, you are the answer.

A SEASON TO CELEBRATE

In celebration of the 87th Founding anniversary of Tay Tung, the students made heartwarming actions for our teachers. To jumpstart the event, the theme ‘Metamorphosis’ marked a memorable Teachers’ Day Celebration for our hardworking teachers. While streaming on Facebook Live, we were greeted with a blast from the past of previous homecoming events, showcasing photos of the teachers and the students with their biggest smiles.

Then, we saw the videos of the school staff and students with their warm and refreshing messages toward the school, each having their own unique way of expressing their appreciation and gratitude toward our school. The prayer was led by our very own, Tay Tung Voices as they filled the event with their angelic voices followed by the Philippine National Anthem.

To officially open the program the school principal, Engr. Philip Carpina

gave a few words to the teachers, staff, alumni, and students. He gave thanks to the alumni who were mostly former students of the school and ended the ceremony by greeting everyone a Happy Teacher’s Day while wishing them professional advancement and long life.

Then a special song was rendered by the ever-talented, Janstin Yap. After which, an energetic performance from the Taytung gymnastics team was seen. The students wrote encouraging and thanking online letters that were read during the live event, giving “extra” to our loyal teachers. A big surprise was unearthed as the teachers’ Tiktok Challenge showed their amazing and hidden talents in dancing. Students also cheerfully casted their votes on Facebook. The deserving teachers and staff were given Loyalty Awards with a number serving the school for a decade and some more than two decades in the school. What an impeccable service, indeed!

The Clarion Trainings Throughout the Pandemic

Ever since its foundation, the Clarion has never failed to provide astounding training to aspiring young students hailing from different grade levels who want to learn about the wonders of journalism. Although we are in a pandemic – considered as the new normal – the Clarion still perseveres to train the aspiring students to hype their interests in the field of journalism.

The first workshop was conducted on August 13, 2021, via Zoom and facilitated by Ms. Kyzeah Coleen Tababa, who taught the students different aspects of journalism and its prime features. After the discussions, the

students made articles, using the knowledge that they have gained from Ms. Kyzeah, after which she provided feedback. Heads of the Clarion Staff gave their opening and closing remarks and the training ended with screenshots and a thank you to Ms. Kyzeah for her time to educate the determined students. And a few weeks later, the Clarion had another workshop, this time, they were partnered with the Panorama, the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Senior High’s publication. On August 27, 2021, using the Zoom application once again, the broadcast journalist, educator, resource speaker, talk show host, and lifestyle vlogger, Ms. Yasmin Pascual-Dormido as the trainer and speaker. And after the rules, styles, and key points of journalism were talked about by Ms. Yasmin, the young journalists were sent off to their respective break out rooms from which they were grouped before the workshop to create news, feature, and editorial articles with layout designs using any online application of their choosing. Ms. Yasmin then gave her feedback and corrections of the different articles presented by the different groups. And after screenshots and closing remarks, another Clarion workshop ended with a bang, and the knowledge of these young studentjournalists was expanded upon.

And until now, the Clarion continues to excite the students with meetings, discussing the events surrounding the club, giving assignments to the fellow students to practice what they had learned, and keeping them interested in the field throughout the whole school year.

“BUWAN NG WIKA” SA KABILA NG DISTANSIYA

“Ang hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika ay higit pa sa hayop at malansang isda”, ayon ito kay Dr. Jose Rizal.

Kahit ilang beses nang nasakop ng mga dayuhan, mawala man ang ibang nakasanayan, o magbago man ang paraan ng panliligaw, pananamit, at bayanihan, makikita mo pa rin na tatak Pilipino ang mga mamamayan.

Ang kaluluwa ng isang bansa ay ang wika nito, tulay ito sa isang malayang samahan pati na rin ang pagkakaisa ng layunin at damdamin. Ito ang nagpapahayag ng mga ideya at damdamin ng isang tao sa pamamagitan ng paggamit ng mga salitang binibigkas. Sa buwan ng Agosto, ipinagdidiriwang ng mga Pilipino ang “Buwan ng Wika”. Isinasagawa ito upang gunitain ang kasaysayan, gawin ang nakasanayang tradisyon, gayundin upang makilala, mapaunlad, at mapanatili ang wikang Filipino.

Sa pagdiriwang na ito, binibigyang halaga at tinatangkilik ang kulturang Pilipino na unti-unti nang kinakalimutan.

Puno ng samo’t-saring aktibidad ang buwang ito bilang isang pagkilala at pagmamahal sa bansang Pilipinas.

Sa pagdiwang ng mga Tay Tungian ng “Buwan ng Wika”, ang mga mag-aaral pati rin ang mga guro ay tila’y binalik sa nakaraang kapanahunan. Maraming mga aktibidad ang inihanda ng Bacolod Tay Tung High School Student Council Organization (SCO) upang madama parin ng mga Tay Tungian ang diwa ng pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng wika sa kabila ng distansya at pandemya.

Likas sa mga Pilipino ang pagkakaroon ng videoke o kantahan kapag may okasyon. Ang kantahan at mga tugtugan ang nagbibigay buhay sa selebrasyon, ‘yung tipong kahit malayo ka ay naririnig mo pa rin ang malalakas na tugtug sa kalapit na bayan o di naman kaya yung grupo ng mga tinig na kahit wala sa tono ay mahahalata mong masaya silang nagdidiriwang. Kaya handog ng SCO ang paligsahang Opm para sa Taytungians at Opm vocal duet, kung saan ang piling mag-aaral na may angking galing sa pag-awit mula sa iba’tibang baitang sa hayskul ay nakipagtagisan.

Sa panahon ngayon, may mga Pilipinong mananahi at taga-disenyo na lumilikha ng mga kadamitan na may modernong disenyo ngunit hindi malayo sa tradisyunal na anyo nito katulad ng Modern Filipiniana. Isang paligsahan mula sa SCO ang Digital Filipiniana contest

Isa rin sa mga paligsahang inihanda ng SCO para sa buwan ng wika ay ang paggawa ng Pinoy Jeepney na masaya namang nilahukan ng mga mag-aaral sa elementarya. Gamit ang mga materyales na karaniwang nakikita sa bahay ay nakalikha ang mga kalahok ng mga makukulay na dyip. Kung may roon mang isang tradisyon at parte ng kulturang Pinoy noon na ginagamit parin hanggang ngayon, ito ay ang “Jeep”. Paglanghap ng sariwang hangin, di inaasahang siksikan, nakakaindak na musika, at tsuper na maghahatid sayo sa murang presyo, ilan lamang ito sa mararanasan mo sa pagsakay sa dyip. alapit man o malayo ang pupuntahan, may dyip na hahatid sayo. Ito’y isang kulturang Pinoy na walang kupas ang paghahatid serbisyo sa mamamayang Pilipino mula noon, hanggang ngayon.

Ang buwan ng Agosto ay buwan ng ating wikang pambansa. Bakit sa buwan ng Agosto? Ayon kay Pangulong Magsaysay, ang unang Linggo ng Wika ay ginanap sa bakasyon ng mga mag-aaral, at ang huling araw ay para sa pagdiriwang sa kaarawan ni Pangulong Quezon, na kinilala bilang “Ama ng Pambansang Wika”. Halos isang dekada ang lumipas, noong 1997, naglabas si Pangulong Fidel Ramos ng Proklamasyon Blg 1041 na nagdeklara na ang Wikang Filipino ay ipagdidiriwang sa buong buwan ng Agosto.

Ang wikang Filipino ang nagbigaydaan upang magkaintindihan ang mga Pilipino kapag nakikipagtalastasan at isang kasangkapan na ginagamit upang makapagpalaganap ng kaalaman sa kapwa. Ang kultura at mga tradisyong Pinoy ay napag-iisa ang mga mamamayan at nagpapatunay na sila’y may lahi o isang tatak Pilipino .

Ang wika, kultura at tradisyon na ginagamit at ginagawa hanggang ngayon ay maituturing na kayamanan na pamana ng mga ninuno, kaya karapat-dapat lamang ipagdiwang ang “Buwan ng Wika” sa kabila ng distansiya.

CHU, REAP MATH MEDALS

FOR TAYTUNGIAN

A lot of people say Math is a difficult subject, but not to the Grade 5 student from Bacolod Tay Tung who proved that statement wrong.

Chanel Isabel Chu, a Math enthusiast, recently bagged the Silver award in the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad. Most recently, she also bagged the Silver award in the Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad held this October.

Asked what's her secret on being a math wunderkind, Chanel said that she's always fascinated with Math because to her it's fun.

“iConnect”, for Taytungians to Reconnect

Throughout our time in distanced learning, Taytungian students have faced a myriad of obstacles: the internet made for us to connect to the educational metaverse continued to disconnect, the once-strong motivation we had wavering down into but a tiny ember, and constant stress and pressure from standards of a bygone era. Despite these trials, a glimpse of light appeared in the midst of it all—our counselors.

To boost the morale of the campus’ students, the counselors of our Guidance Office devised a plan. A program. A program which would aid in lifting the lowered morale of the student body and our faculty—iConnect. Through this program, the Taytungian Community is given a chance to connect and talk with the school counselors through onlinehosted sessions. Furthermore, the Guidance Office formulated it with the intent to strengthen the bonds between the students and teachers.

“If there's one thing that this pandemic has taught us, it is the importance of having a genuine connection with people around us. This can only happen if we learn to open ourselves up to the other. For those students who are struggling or having difficulty connecting, I encourage them to go out of their comfort zone and start reaching out to people,” Ms. Aika Jane Y. Kamano, RPM, a counselor from the guidance office said.

THE HEALTHY BREAKFAST CLUB

To kickstart the beginning of classes and the Nutrition Month Celebration last July, the Student Council Organization held “The Healthy Breakfast Club 2021”, an activity aimed to inspire Taytungians to eat more healthy food and less junk food amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Indeed, this becomes all the more important to improve our immune systems by eating meals good for our health! Just as the saying goes, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”!

The Healthy Breakfast Club was open to interested students from Grades 1-12. It was separated into two categories: the elementary and high school departments. Participants had to prepare 1 plate,

They also prepared a title for their dish, a photo, a one-minute video (for Grades 4-12 participants only), and an explanation of three sentences. Their submissions were posted on the SCO Facebook Page on July 24, 2021.

When the voting started on July 24, the winners were decided and judged by the amazing teachers from the Health Department. Along with the healthy breakfasts prepared by the participants, there were also pictures showing the appetizing breakfast meals of the participants and an explanation of their dishes.

For the list of winners, 1st place went to Patricia Doctora from Grade 10 (entitled “Be Our Guest”), 1st runner-up was Kamille Catalogo

from the same grade (entitled “A Delicate Morning”), and the 2nd runner-up was Nicky Avance from Grade 12 (entitled “Appletouille: Pain et Pommes”). The 4th, 5th, and 6th place were: Trish Canastillo from Grade 2, Jan Espinosa also from the same grade, and Wen Ying Shi from Grade 8, respectively.

All in all, the activity was a success and showcased the creativity and skills of our fellow Taytungians “inner chef”. It made students realize that it is important for them to strengthen their immune systems at all times by eating more fruits and vegetables. Most importantly, the activity did not only inspire students to eat healthy meals, but to also take care of their overall well-being.

DENGVAXIA CONTROVERSY AND ITS ROLE TO THE COVID-19 VACCINE

by Khassandra Lianne A. Que Coronavirus disease or known as the COVID-19, is a pandemic that created a global health crisis that had a deep impact on the way we see our world and our everyday lives, but now that we have a cure for it will things take a turn for the better?

Vaccine negotiations are not an easy process. In fact, The Philippines was relegated at the bottom of the priory list of pharmaceutical companies. Many Filipinos were dismayed with this news but not until Feb. 28, 2021, when the country received 600,000 free Sinovac vaccines from China. The health care workers, police, and military personnel were amongst the first to get jabbed. The Philippines on March 1 started its much-anticipated Covid-19 Vaccination Programme and at least 263 health care workers in six state hospitals got their first jab. Not long after, many vaccines were donated to the country. Donations from several European Countries arrived on March 4 carrying half a million AstraZeneca Vaccines. Followed by 3,000,060 Moderna Vaccines that arrived last Aug. 3, from the USA. Lastly, the 365,000 Pfizer Vaccines from the COVAX Facility. Up until now, vaccines are still arriving and are being rolled out in the Philippines. But why are some citizens against this vaccination knowing that the Philippines is among the countries that have numerous cases of Covid-19?

Apart from the Covid-19 Vaccines, going back to 2016, the government launched a vaccine that was assumed to be a prevention for dengue fever. As dengue is endemic in the Philippines, the government introduced and jabbed the Dengvaxia Vaccine to around 830,000 students. More than six months later, after more children received at least one dose of the vaccine, Sanofi, the French pharmaceutical corporation that distributed the vaccine, then announced its label to restrict its use to only those who had already been exposed to dengue virus. This quickly led to misleading news and a national scandal that caused an explosion of hysteria to the government and the families that were involved in the vaccination drive.

To some people, it seemed like it was a medical breakthrough that went off the rails. On the other hand, some news reporters took this chance to circulate media reports about the vaccine disorders that instilled fear in the people, mostly the ones involved. However, what the

people don’t know is that most of this news was based on rumors rather than facts. This fake news started the actual outbreak, fear and confusion ate up the thoughts of the Filipinos without them knowing the truth.

Going back to the Covid Vaccines, a study shows that most of the people that are against it were involved and are in fear because of the dengvaxia controversy.

The government, though, is working its best to encourage and change the mindsets of the Filipinos. In fact, there is a wide difference when it comes to the two vaccines. The Dengvaxia vaccine was rolled out with not enough data given to the people while the Covid-19 vaccines showed how it was examined and the countries that were in charge showed enough accountability and proper communication to show how safe and efficient the vaccines are to the other countries. Sites formed by the trusted health organizations are posting facts and are open on many media platforms, it is a way for them to answer the people’s queries and at the same time to build the trust of the people regarding the vaccines.

Videos about the vaccine and vaccine trackers are also active in many sites, it is to explain to the people how efficient and different each vaccine is made, also, to show the number of the people who got jabbed and what reported effects are shown after the jab. Admittedly, vaccination hesitancy remains, added that fake news lingers in many media sites, but hand in hand, each country, and its government show its transparency throughout the vaccine process. Gradually, this will be the key to debunking misinformation and building the public’s trust.

What happened with the Dengvaxia controversy was not acceptable, many lives and families were affected because of this. But now that the country is facing a pandemic, we, Filipinos, must be open-minded and united in working things out. In times like this, we must be reminded that we have ourselves and each one to help restore our country's vaccine confidence by learning the facts and trusting the words from reliable sources.

Living in the fear of the allegations and hearsays about the Covid-19 vaccinations is like believing in something you know is fake. Worse, you are hindering other people’s chances of their safety and health away from the virus.

From the young kids of elementary level to the manangs manongs of highschool level, whole school participated in abundance of games, contests other fun and engaging activities.
